  1. No high quality data source on my claim other than I heard it mentioned on what I thought was a high quality NPR documentary. Have U got a data source now that it has been mentioned - I'm always up for improvement. It stuck in my head because it surprised me that it only took that amount to start the Revolution although I never had given it a thought before. Whether 30 as I said or 40% as you say it is probably normal that people are always disagreement to some extent over such a major move - difference is nowadays and for many years we as citizens disagree over most everything from 50/50 and more recently up to 70/30. Tha Nation is in trouble for sure but I'd never lay it all at Trump's door - he didn't guide this Nation to where it is today IMHO leaders over the last 50 years along with a for the most part uninformed apathetic public caused that. Many folks here and elsewhere whine often but few will put the time in to change one little problem in their own back yard. A agree 100% with paraphrase what Ross Perot said - "When you don't like the way things are going with your government look in the mirror for the cause' or something like that. That's what I do and why I have worked to change things I disagree with and have won big sometimes and gone down in flames at other times.
  2. Just looks like Trump is doing what anyone in that position always does on issues the POTUS wants that won't be supported enough by Congress to get a law passed. Many who support his EO actions may feel half a loaf is better than none. In his case his own party is obstructing him on some and the other party on everything. Business as usual with different somewhat unique talking points. Isn't there a saying that goes something like "You know they're listening when they get pissed off". One thing about Trump - everyone is listening and a whole bunch are pissed off which probably makes his supporters more solid than ever. Remember it only took 1/3 of residents here from England to start and and eventually win the American revolution.
  3. Oh the military applications for this - once they acquire stealth silence if that is possible. Plus limitless other ideas for use.
  4. I learned what addiction meant on my 1st trip to iFLY Orlando - now I'm like a fish in the ocean with the hook set deep - no hope of gettin' loose. ;)
  5. These type people that are anti this or that are relentless to an extreme - supporters of this and that Must be equally as relentless, hopefully better informed and willing to sacrifice a possibly large portion of the fun parts of their lives to participate in the governmental processes defeat the anit's - short of that level of commitment those who enjoy the fun they have will have problems defeating true extremists anti's the likes of which I have come in contact with with. Defeating them is possible but not without pain.
  6. Thanks Mr Germain, Very interesting as this youtube vid Human Expansion can make one take the time to think and that your thoughts can be applied to to many different risks one intentionally exposes themselves to in life.
  7. I have heard it reported that only around 30% of the colonists supported the American Revolution - in that case I believe things worked out pretty well until the last 30 years during which the Feds began managing every aspect of our supposedly free population's life.
  8. One of the neatest skydiving photos I have seen yet - just beautiful - had to say it.
  9. Agreed but will wrist mounted GPS's be allowed in to prevent people like me that have mostly flown Orlando from getting lost.?
  10. Thanks wolfriverjoe (nice name) for that thorough detailed advise. Yep Vertical builds battleship quality into their product - the stitches pulled so tight and below the surface of the heavy grip reinforcement fabric made it surprisingly difficult for a newb to deal with - wish I left it alone now - but Oh Well. Another issue I noticed is that now all the ?thousands? of needle holes are noticeable - so I ask - Would a large patch covering the entire area between the shoulder blades12X12 would probably suffice so as to prevent all the tiny holes from facilitating unwanted entry of air from prematurely deteriorating the suit?
  11. My Vertical suit had 10" long grippers oriented vertically in the area of my shoulder blades. I was using a seam ripper to remove them. I'm not a seamstress and was using ripper for 1st time. Man does Vertical sew the hell out of these things. Near the upper end of one in the backstitch (and I mean heavily reinforced :))reinforced area I caused a slice thru the suit material, The cut looks like a "V" 3/4 inch X 3/4 inch with an included angle of maybe 80 degrees - kind of looks like an arrow point pointing up near the lower end of the reinforced area at the top of the right shoulder gripper. Question - could a average seamstress that isn't a skydiving equipment specialist be capable of repairing this properly using standard sewing techniques? Question - Would special thread be in order? Question - Would special material be required on the inside to sew the repair material to so as to close the remaining flap from the damage? I'm in Miami/Hialeah if anyone can recommend a repair person on this. Just as soon keep the repair in the community even if I'm only a wannabe tunnel rat. :)
  12. This may seem a bit yuckie but when I was trained in scuba and free diving we were told to spit into face mask and smear it all around - would that apply to full face helmets possibly ?

  15. The method to get around the iFLY additional amenities minimalism is to bring our own snacks and drinks. :) On the other hand iFLY's in Florida are in pretty close proximity to local restaurants. It would be nice if they were set up to facilitate people hanging out and talking a bit more.
  16. HaHa forgot to mention it is on Apr 21st.
  17. Should be great to spend a good amount of time in this iFLY Ft Lauderdale's Glass Smooth airflow. As of now from midnight until 4 am.
  18. Not sure on ceiling height but it has been said they will be 12 foot diameter.
  19. Not sure about San Diego but iFLY Orlando's replacement double tunnel about a mile South of the "original" is moving along nicely. There is even a tunnel overnight camp scheduled for late April managed by Eric Gomez who took the attached photo..
  20. Got to put the advise to work last night for 10 minutes at the shiny new iFLY Ft Lauderdale. It all worked and improvements were evident to me. Not enough time but will do 30 min at the Apr 21 overnight camp. Side slides still marginal but improving.. Seems like a few more side to sides in the tunnel each time b4 I lose it. Truth be known I did forget this and that from time to time - I didn't tape the advise given to the outside of the tunnel but will next time. :) I do believe I need it - just seein' it will be the reminder I need at this point. The feet under flips really improved doing the heel points. Thanks to All Again.
  21. In case you're lookin' to escape the cold U may want to check out the new tunnels in Orlando (mid to late April), Ft Lauderdale Fl and Tampa Florida.
  22. HaHa just noticed the critique on my spelling of "bak" - It's intentional when discussing bodyflight - not sure why? Maybe due to wanting to bak fly quicker - not suceeding at that so I cut a letter to type "bak" fly quicker. OBTW I do feel like about age 14 in the tunnel so possibly that's why. ;) All help appreciated though.
  23. Bottom Line - Nothing is free - somebody always has to pay - no matter what.
