  1. Study the fine art of one day being a Capitolist Pig. Then I can shun the skydiving community forever. I don't know who i'm kidding. Get my degrees, become an educated skydiving instructor. Become a connisaur of "Did you know...bla...bla...bla?"
  2. 2004 Nisson Quest 1996 Nisson Altima
  3. I used to jump barefoot cause it was SOOOOO cool. Then I had to land on the other side of the airport one day and swooped the the field of cactus. Pickin that shit out from between my toes for a week. Never again. You know, who'd a thunk it, cactus in South Carolina!
  4. I kept putting my ass on the scanner for you, but then I realized that I don't have a tattoo.
  5. Consider a Flat Top Pro an open faced helmet, no shield. Sure the chin cup is designed differently than, say a, Optik or Batrac, but the protection is the same. It would seem that if you were talking about a Z1 or an A3 you would call them full faced helmets. Why change the standard for camera helmets. With that in mind, you may have or have not seen the new O2's made by Skysystems. They are an Oxygn A3 with a side mount molded onto the side, and are about as 'gucci' as it gets for full faced fun, becuase the visor flips up, same as an Oxygn A3. You would have to mount something on the helmet for stills though. But good for AFF I's. I would consider the O2 the best full faced camera helmet because of the flip up visor. I would put the sidewinder in second place becuase of this lacking accessory.

    Shoes

You people are wierd, just buy more shoes. They are just shoes
  7. You'll save alot of money learning in the states. E-mail me if you have any questions about jumping in Tokyo, I jumped there for 2 years. You can get away with not paying the insurance if you tell them your military. But you have to bullshit them a little, because in Japan, if you cause an accident (skydiving) and get someone else hurt, you have to pay their hospital bills. My best advice is to wait until your back in the states or stationed somewhere where there is more opportunity (unless your made of some serious cash). Time, money, language, and distance from the DZ will just get you fed up sooner than later. Spend your money on the after hours party at Velfarre instead

    helmet cams

I wouldn't even think about being pissed when they say no. When they test rides out for the safety of the public and the local insurance provider, they certainly aren't doing the "3 extra pounds offcenter hanging off the head" test. Your family suing for everything the park is worth would even have footage at the trial (assuming you snapped your neck).
  9. i down one before a test, maybe it's partly psychological now, but it helps me focus a little.
  10. That site is some serious hardcore bad advice!!! Ok boys and girls, here's the skinny if you get pulled over. First You don't say shit...NOTHING "Anything you say CAN AND WILL be used in a court of law" sound familier?!? So if you say "your right officer...boom yo' guilty. But lets go to the officers first question... "Do you know why I pulled you over?" And you babble something off to get some pity. Instead you should say "I have NO IDEA officer" Because (everybody now) "anything...you...say...can...and...will...be...used...against...you...in...a...court...of...law" Don't you think cops are trained to remember everything you admit to. Second Next question. "Do you know how fast you were going?" The answer? "THE LIMIT" I want all you fellow skydivers to listen and listen good. The ONLY information you have to tell the officer is your name and address. Everything else you can leave up to in court. Third AHHHH now on to court...most cities you don't deal with a prosecutor or judge, you deal with the cop that pulled you over. Oh and he'll remember you becuase you were one of the smart ones. Most of the time you can have the ticket reduced to almost nothing, becuase if you go to jury trial, no matter how much evidence is against you...IT'S A FUCKIN CRAP SHOOT. (Imagine being a prosecutor and trying to convince 12 fellow Americans that your poor ass should be fined while the big government takes a bite out of joe taxpayer...hard? you fuckin right!)And the court does not want to risk a $5000.00+ trial to deal with your piddly $120 ticket. So two things before you "Sorry officer, I wasn't paying attention to the speedometer...bla...bla..." 1) SHUT THE FUCK UP 2) FIGHT IT IN COURT
  11. Depending on what type of camera you are using, you can do those basic features in the VTR mode. Check your manual.
  12. I don't think they put the "made in hondurus" on the tag till after they were called out. but it remained small talk. i'm curious if there is a list out there of all the 'outsourced' canopies it's happening in major industries all over the U.S., it would be nieve to think that it couldn't touch parachutings major manufacturer
  13. I don't have anything handy thats digital, but from the ones i've seen, I haven't seen anything impressive. Most B&W skydiving footage takes away from the art. But thats just one mans opinion and in no way should be taken seriously
  14. Hence the termmmmmmm..... BACKUP CORD
  15. Great...now can you post the Paris-Hilton video. Consider it educational for 'skydivers against nightshot' campaign.
  16. I don't see what the issue is here. He said his buddy went looking for him. It's not like the whole DZ is gonna pile in a pick-up and FOD walk the surrounding area while the plane flys low passes. Now this may be the case if 3 yr buddy comes back empty handed, but i'm pretty sure we're making a big deal outta nothing here.
  17. You've heard it in the movies, on tv, and now the new subway commercial. I'm sick and tired of hearing it so i'm joining the masses...from now on i'm calling the reserve ripcord... THE BACKUP CORD
  18. I gotta agree with Quade on this one. Take a breather and chalk it up to an experience.
  19. I think the standard is 30 (no packing, DZ rig), everywhere i've been thats been it...for 8 years now. So it begs the question...If inflation drives up the prices of jumpers tickets and tandem tickets, why does the pay remain the same?
