  1. Fav and only method is forward. Backward exits are pretty risky becase you still in the plane or getting set up with the drogue just beggin too come loose. Seems pretty moronic to me.
  2. 28 years old 8 years jumping
  3. It doesn't look feminine, it looks amateur. Take it off, or join the cast of "Cutaway 2"
  4. "I'm doing the walk in" "The walk in feels great huh?" "The walk in feels GREAT!" "How about the walk out?" "Not so great" Everyone can use a little Sienlanguage.
  5. This thread is hilarious!!!! The truth couldn't be further than the wool I see draped everywhere. Pitty my law classes compel me to keep my mouth shut. Humility is such a bitch sometimes. Lets just say that the way people act on DZ.COM is a WHOLE lot different that they are in person. Believe what you want. I know I'm getting a personal laugh with my boys at the DZ.
  6. My 500th tandem jump is comming up and I plan on doing something special. Whats the census on when it is though? When I jump my 500th Student? Or my 500th Tandem (including me as student)? J.Neas
  7. It's a very obvious law that took up a section in my Business Law class. J.Neas
  8. Some state statutes and local ordinances regulate the creation and performance of contracts on Sundays and legal holidays. Many of these restrictions originate in religious customs and practices. In recent years, there has been a steady decline in the number of activities that are prohibited on Sundays and holidays. In a small number of jurisdictions, a contract that is made on a Sunday but is to be carried on a weekday is invalid. In some states, a Sunday agreement must be ratified on a weekday. The contract is considered retified if it is performed on a weekday or if the terms are restated on a weekday. Contracts made on a legal holiday can generally be performed on the next business day following the holiday. Any DZO's or skydiver/lawyers have anything to say about how this could potentially effect the Release of Liability Agreement for first time Sunday/Holiday jumpers? J.Neas

  10. I had a $45,000 skydive last year but was fully covered. Remember, medical insurance is expensive if you want the full shabang. If you want to save money, but still don't wanna see a 45G bill in the mail, get a policy with a $500 deductible and only covers emergent care. They are dirt cheap and cover you in most skydiving situations. They are cheap because they know you won't go to the ER for petty things. Read the fine print about extreme sports though. Or have a buddy carry your to the bottom of a flight of stairs afterward ;) J.Neas
  11. The DZ's in Colorado all carry O2 on board for anyone who needs it. Standard elevation is 12,500' AGL, 17,500' MSL. Yes, we get acclimated to it. Instructors generally pull off about 12-15 jumps on a typical weekend day in the summer. A handful of rich fun jumpers as well ;) J.Neas
  12. Everyone is close but not there. When the POTUS steps on an aircraft it automatically becomes Air Force One. Along those lines, when Jeremy Neas steps into any aircraft it becomes "Sexiest Airplane EVA" What through most people off was the term EVER. Most people would have gotten this right if the proper spelling was introduced from the beginning. J.Neas
  13. OMG, I don't want any ya around my car...eva! That CE Light is just reporting to you, the driver/owner that one of your many sensors in the car is reading wrong for whatever reason. Could be the unit is bad, or could be telling you of adverse conditions to come. For example, if you find out it was your O2 sensor (could be many, don't assume this is it), your sensor could be shorting, or your sensor is telling you that the reading is off the charts. Which sensor? Ok, either go to the garage, and get pay. Or grab yourself a Chiltons or Hayes manual and a paper clip. Unbend the paperclip until you have a happy "U" shape. Locate the computer plug in and rought each end of the paper clip into the plugs. At this time (igition turned on) your CE Light will start a series of blinking. This isn't random, it's actually telling you "in code" which sensor is broke dick. Cool Huh. Once the sensor is isolated, go to it in the engine, if the wires looked striped or broken, probably a short, you'd be safe to replace the wires or the unit. If it looks flawless, it might be reading a future problem. And just so you know, Taurses are known for CE Lights early on in thier career. Anyone that mocks Ford for being a Ford doesn't know dick about cars past 1982. If you want to turn off the light without doing anything a temporary fix is to disconnect your negative lead on your battery for a few minutes. This will reset your computer, but the light will come back in hours or days. Hope dis helped, J.Neas

  18. You know, getting the matching rigs, suits, and helmets is great. Getting Sponsored, wonderful, but ya'll blew it on the shoes. Damn Shame ;) J.Neas
  19. I hooked an internal system into my batrac, with a coupler in one of the ears flush with the outside. Easy to plug any media into the helmet, for mainly the ride up. Yes, you can hear it in freefall with the rac because it is a solid helmet, but not the best idea, but a cool experience nontheless. J.Neas

  23. A couple of years ago, Parachutist did a poll of job occupations of skydiviers. At that time 12% were military, the highest catagory. I imagine the numbers are not far off.
