  1. I have the same problem... Tri from 04' and its so slippery that it makes me dread packing the damn thing. The only explanation that I've been given is that it must be from an extra slippery batch of the already slipper S,.african ZP. My fiance has a Pilot, and he said his was NEVER that slipper. My tri has about 75 jumps on it now and he said its more slippery now than his was with 0 jumps on it. Frustrates me to the point where I am kind of shopping around for another canopy. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  2. This is a good idea, up until the point where some sky god really hurts themselves or others they are flying with. So many people walk on up to the tunnel and think because they have X amount of hundreds or thousands of skydives that they can hop in and start freeflying topped out. Seriously, leave the speeds up to the trained instructors and drivers. When you can fly topped out, you'll fly topped out and won't have to worry about having a clicker in your hands, and if you can't, well... then you shouldn't have a controller in your hands for the speeds. 3. Give Florida Tech a try. I already cut through all the red tape and started the club for ya there! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)

    Freefly suit

Word on the street is Liquid Sky is where it's at right now. Seriously, just came back from Puerto Rico boogie and their suits look fantastic! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  5. Thanks! They're my fav. color combo, hence why I got my gear in that color too! He's not completely out of his wingsuit and on the darkside yet. He was actually still on his belly for that entire skydive for the pics I posted and I was suprised we pulled that off! (I'm a floaty freeflyer thanks to SkyVenture- lol) Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  6. got a few fresh ones from PR too! Edited to add: shots by Matt Hoover. I finally got him out of his wingsuit. Only took me 3 years! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  7. I think it's only because he got the extra thrill of all the cutaways. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  8. Kristi gave me the pleasure of making a few freefly jumps with her and snowball. Took pics of their beach jump landing and looked like they had a blast for that one! Thanks to Viv, Jason, Manifest, and everybody working to make the boogie the success it was! See you guys next year! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  9. fixed it! I'm so tired I can't type anymore...... vic's not working??? that really sucks Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  10. You and me both. I got off a plane from FL today (well, technically yesterday) and had to go into the office to work the last overnight shift in my rotation. Weather sucks sometimes..... Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  11. Are you serious or just taking the piss?? Look back and dig up anything you'd like that supports the argument that repubs make the rich richer and the poor poorer. There have been more tax cuts under a democratic president than republican presidents (for the middle class anyway), I'm pretty sure. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  12. And people tried to talk you out of that, and you STILL did it. And here are people trying to talk you out of something you don't know better about again, and you're STILL going to do it. So, seriously dude, why post and stir the pot??? Oh, I get it... you're an attention whore. Well, you'll get top billing in the incidents forum down the road sometime, I'm sure. Like I've said in posts before, I don't care what the hell you do at this point because you'll never listen to anybody except if they tell you what you want to hear, but I just know to cover my ass and keep it off of any load you happen to be on if we ever run into eachother at the same DZ. Sorry to seem flamey and pissed, but I am just so sick of "n00b" jumpers doing things that "n00b" jumpers have no business doing (IE, wingsuits, wingloadings at 1.6, etc) that can possibly kill me because of it. That I take offense to. **Edit to add** after PM between VB and I, I'm publicly apologizing for my PA. I think we've gotten our messages across to eachother now. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  13. Actually, for the first time in a long time, he's actually basing his presidency on our founding principles. He's done nothing but look back, refer to, and do research on what we've been founded on, what George Washington felt, what Lincoln did, what our founding fathers set out in the constitution to do. Wow... I mean, he's really going to follow our constitution instead of injecting his religious and personal beliefs into our system!!! I think he's come closest to examining our founding principles than anybody has in a VERY long time. If you can't see that, then I am actually sad for YOU, rather than our country. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  14. A - FRICKIN - MEN TO ALL OF THAT, TK!!!! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  15. Ah, so that's who you'll continue to blame for the financial crises. But what about other things unrelated to that? Who will you blame when Israelis and Palestinians continue to fight? Who will you blame when you can't get the troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan on schedule? Who will you blame when the Social Security system continues to go bankrupt? Who will you blame when Iran continues to threaten Israel and the United States? Who will you blame when the government doesn't provide free health care to all citizens? Who will you blame when global warming continues to increase? Who will you blame when gasoline prices go up? YOU own the House of Representatives. YOU own the Senate. YOU own the Presidency. YOU own the Cabinet. Who will you blame? Oh, don't worry. We'll still blame the repub's for all of this since they left us with a hole deep enough we won't even have a chance of getting out of it for quite some time. If we crawl halfway out of it, I'll be thankful, but I'm not expecting any miracles to happen since YOUR people left the biggest pile of poo in history to dig out from under! So, to sum it up and answer your question, I think I'll still blame the republicans, thanks. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  16. So in this case is appears that the Op did indeed perform his due diligence. Does this change your tune any in regards to his position? Are you still under the impression that he should be the sole party to incurr a loss? What is your opinion on the issue that the dealer is only entitled to the recovery of the wholesale amount of the gear, minus the current value of the returned Cypres, minus the depreciation of the use before the OP came into possesion, minus any insurance monies collected by the dealer on this equipment, minus any tax advantage or write-off the dealer excerised as a result of the debt? What dollar figure would that be? How much would it cost to allow the OP to keep the remainder of the gear (as the Cypres has been returned)? You have expressed no shortage of 'ethical' outrage over the fact that this gear has not been boxed up and shipped right back. You do realize that this would result in a $4100 loss for the OP, and depending on the above factors, and whatever the dealer can sell the now used equipment for, a substantially smaller loss for the dealer. Does that sit right with you? Isn't the OP, also a skydiver, just as much your 'brother' as the dealer in this case? Why should one suffer more of a loss than another? In reality, the dealer, an established businessman with a credit card merchant account, made an error in his processing of the charge. The procedures and checks put in place by the credit card companies are there to limit this sort of thing. If the dealer had followed the proper procedures, the credit card company would have not have reversed the charge. Conversely, the OP, who did check the incomplete USPA stolen gear list and found nothing, did not check with SSK. Doing so would revealed the stolen Cypres, and cast a negative shadow over the rest of the rig, and the deal itself. The end result is errors on both ends. I, for one, would be more forgiving of errors in a deal with one private citizen making a purchase from another private citizen, as opposed to an established businessman conducting a transaction via a credit card merchnat account, but that's just me. Either way, I ask you to justify the OP taking all, or anymore than half, of the actual loss in this case (which is what would happen if he simply returned all the equipment)? 'NUFF SAID!! Very well put! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  17. I am exactly the same way. I'm nervous and anxious the night before I know I'm heading out to the dz, right up until the door opens on that first jump of the day. As soon as I'm out, I'm 75% better, and then when my canopy is opened and my airspace clear with the landing area in front of me, I'm just about 100% better. I'm a very anxious person to begin with, and sometimes I wonder if I'm so nervous and anxious about the jump that its to the point where it over takes the fun. But then again, if I didn't have that heart pounding, nervous about to throw up shaky feeling, would it be boring? I'd still think it were beautiful, but would it be as much of a rush? The nerves are also good, as somebody else pointed out already, because it keeps me on top of my shit and always on my toes; I'm a gear check Nazi and first person to sit out in high winds, etc. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... 18. which is ashame because I live in the Nasa/Clear Lake area. Booo!!! I miss me some tunnel! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  19. Aviation Weather forecasting is 24/7, and unfortunately I'm stuck on shift until 9:30pm tonight. Fortunate enough though that I'm not working the 9:30pm-5:30am shift over night tonight! So, there' still time to get krunk after 9:30 tonight, right? Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  20. I think you're looking too much into it; waiting for somebody to take your bait for an argument, which will eventually turn into a discussion about yankee blue collar democrats in that area and how they're backwards. Oh, shit... wait. Did I just take the bait??? Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  21. Hit the nail on the head. This is exactly what I've been saying for years. It's a human need to feel the existance of a higher being so they are somehow not responsible for all the horrible things that happen in life, but that it is just god's will when it's convenient. If humans didn't have some power(s) that be, I think it would drive some people to insanity. I also think it was needed to keep society in check. Long ago, if people feared God, Hell, and damnation, then they would follow the rules, right? Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  22. HAHAHAHAHAHAH. BBWWAAAHAHAHAHA. Thats the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  23. I have to agree.... Out of my tour of FL over the five years I lived there, I definitely LOVED The Hills even though I couldn't get there as often as I would have liked while living three hours away in Melbourne. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  24. this site is legit. I got one of the GC last year when I purchased the entertainment coupon book, but usually its one of those "take $25 off when you spend $40 or more," type of GC. It's still a good deal, but I was cautious of giving gifts to people when they had to put out money to get the money off, unless it was somebody I knew really really well and knew what resturaunt they frequented to where it would be worth it for them.
