The pro-track & pro-dytter both will fit perfectly in the pocket of the Z1.... My only recommendation is that you sew a small piece of velcro or something over the opening of the pocket... Pam dropped her Z1 in the airplane this weekend & her pro-dytter must have fell out cuz it wasn't in her helmet at pull time. Plus I've had mine fall out before as well... it just needs something to secure it! Para-sport Italia also makes a Z1 w/some sort of flush mount for the dytter/track.... Zennie has one, if I had it to do over again, I'd get that one instead. It fits into a hole in the outside of the helmet & is covered by a metal plate that makes the unit flush with the outside of the helmet.... plus there are holes in the metal plate that allow access to the buttons & pro-track screen w/out taking it out of the helmet, so it will never fall out unless you undo the locking screws! Gonna' have to agree with you on that one Diver... Pam & I tortured ourselves with the pack-like-a-pro video, and found it to be utterly useless! The video was made in the early 80's (or so it seemed), and the guy was using a F1-11 canopy... wish I could just roll over my canopy (like a little kid down a hill) & all the air be pushed out (& STAY OUT!). lol The best techniques that I've found is to just take various bits of advice from lots of seasoned jumpers/packers & find out what works for you... I've been packing my own chute since my 15th jump (with the exception of the few that Pam has packed for me), my openings aren't wonderful, but I have yet to have any kind of mal (knock on wood). I actually used a Packer for the first time this weekend... Pam & I landed out on load nine & while trying to make load 11, plus dirt-diving for the dz.com attempt, there just wasn't enough time... gotta say that's the best opening I've ever had on that canopy (thanks to the DZO's son at Spaceland). As far as the original post, I'm with Skreamer on this one, quit yer bitching, if they've got the extra cash to pay someone to pack for them, let them.... just sounds like they're putting more money into your pocket to me, what's the problem?! Is knowing how to pack a relevant part of being able make a competent, safe, fun skydive.... of course not, it's actually the pain in the ass part! lol "Pammi's Hemp/Skydiving Jewelry"

*sigh* Yeah... Zennie, Pam, & I didn't make it in on that jump, and Pam's right, it is HILARIOUS on video. It sucked too, cuz every other jump that I did went great as far as my slot goes. I kinda blew the exit & found my self low, came back up, went low again, came back up, drove in, thought I was going to make it, then tucked up & went under the formation at the last second (I would have absolutely wiped everyone out LOL) then I just tracked off.... it was one of those moments on video that makes everyone watching go "DOHHHH.. Man!!!" lol Ahh well, Six great skydives & one good learning experience!

Quincy, & most other boogies that I know of, require that you are B license 'qualified' period. I went ot Quincy this year with 64 jumps, all they did was check my rig, check my log book, and say "have fun!"

Absolutely!! Let us know, there are enough people here that I'm sure one of us has some mechanical knowledge... in my very "limited" experience tho, $3,900 for an engine sounds like a little much to me. Especially if the mechanic's just going to rebuild it, now if he's trying to screw you into buying entirely new everything, then maybe, but I don't know... definitely get more than one opinion! Love the reply Will, you're right... it is your gear, it is your life, it is your decision....period! A lot of people don't get this... if an RSL, or Cypress, or whatever is going to make you more comfortable, then so be it. I don't jump with an RSL but I do jump with a cypress, like you, I researched it thoroughly & came up with the opposite decision... now I'm not going to get into the whys & why nots of it, don't want to risk regurgitating some skygod verbatim, but I do want to disagree with one thing!
