I'm definitely going to have to agree with everyone else here & say, "don't do it!" This past weekend a guy at our DZ, who had just had his ACL repaired 2 months ago, made some jumps under some nice big forgiving student skymaster just so he could get some air time. Well, on his 2nd jump he came in nice & slow for a near perfect landing, took one step & his knee buckled. Now, who knows how far that may have set him back, but I certainly wouldn't risk it if I were you. "Pull High.... It's lower than you think!"

OK, I have a good one! RealTV came out to our DZ a while back to do a segment on this or that (I don't really remember). Anyway, the were looking at the student jumpsuits & asked what the puffy things on the arms and legs were for (the grippers). Our DZO told him that they were static dissipaters, that if they didn't jump with them when they were falling through all the protons & neutrons (or whatever) in the air that when they landed it would electrocute the jumper! LOL He said that after every jump they had to be discharged... "how do you do that?" He then pulled out a dryer sheet & started rubbing it all over the grippers! LOL They completely bought it..."uhh, yeah I can understand that!" God bless the uninformed Oh, btw: all this was done on camera! ROFL "Pull High.... It's lower than you think!"

HMPH!!! Who knows... I may just cut her loose sooner than you think if she keeps talking about 'looking people up.' LOL - Ahhh I'm just kidding baby... I know there's nobody better than me, cuz if there was, you'd be with them!

Yeah, I've heard that from several people... my concern is that I think rolling the nose the way I do on my Sabre might produce some pretty looong snivels. I'm thinking a 1,200 - 1,500 ft snivel would probably 'soil' Pam's Jumpsuit! LOL Peace & Warm Skies! Merrick "Pull High.... It's lower than you think!"

My wife just got a Tri 160 as well, and will be loading it about the same. She too hasn't had a chance to jump it yet.... MY question is, what's the best way to pack this canopy? We're looking for consistent on heading openings with not a lot of snivel, but don't slam you either. I was taught a basic pro-pack (for my sabre w/about 500 jumps), but I also roll the first 4 cells of the nose & tuck them into the center cell, then roll the last 4 cells & tuck them as well... then roll the tail! So far, I've gotten great openings on my canopy, but I'm concerned that this might be a little much for her Tri (almost brand new). Any suggestions would be great!

Oh, btw sweetie, uhhh... when I went home for lunch today, judge had chewed the reserve flap off your rig & was working the cutaway pillow over pretty good! Didn't you close our bedroom door? "Pull High.... It's lower than you think!"

However, I assured her by your astute prowess, all that pent up energy, and your cunning nature that they'd never get you back in that padded room! You know I have to ask..... Ooouuuuwwww!!! For those of you that haven't been able to view this.... go HERE!!! then download the new DivX codec. Then you should be able to view it! I think it's worth your time. I don't know what caused this accident, but my guess is, and this is purely speculation, that it was a low turn. This is a great reminder of what can actually happen when you compromise your own safety... I'm just thankful that he will live to jump again! NO LOW TURNS People! "Pull High.... Awwww Man, don't I wish!!! We're at about a 5deg wind chill with about 25 mph winds.... don't think I'd enjoy that canopy time much! LOL Naah, like Pam said, just been really busy at work here lately. Gotta pay for my 'addictive personality' somehow! :o) Man Diver, I'm lovin' that canopy right now... Thanks!! There's a fairly big guy at our DZ who psycho packs his Sabre, and he swears up-n-down by it! I don't even think he can pro-pack. I still haven't tried it with mine yet tho!
