The site rules need to be updated to address blatant misinformation. Differing opinions are great, but we could go to a million other places on the internet to read ridiculous horseshit misinformation. The earth is Flat... poof, gone.

I don't know if I would have taken that first step if there had not been SL option... The idea of freefall was a bit too much. At least with SL, one could learn all the other parts first. I would absolutely agree with you on Tandem in principle, BUT having gotten my TI under Strong Ent, and not surrounded by UTP, my _perception_ is that the reason many places do Tandem first and primary is money. It helps fund the DZ (at some DZ to the exclusion of all else), but I see very little "training" going on. SE pressed that this was a training jump with a student. Sigma pilots seem to be all about taking the passenger for a ride. Yea, I get it... 90% will only make one bucket list driven jump. BUT as my TI-E said (in effect)... if you treat them like a student, your rate of return will go up, and those that do return already have the mind-set of learning a skill rather than taking a ride. Just my $.03 JW

Religious zealots is being kind.. they are grifters. No biggie, Reca is an absurd suspect, the worst.. no facts and the claims are ridiculous.... Carl couldn't even get the basic facts right, Reca didn't choose a 727.. Reca planned to jump out the side door.. Reca drank scotch and water.. Reca talks like the 8th grade education he has.. The plane went East.. Carl claimed the Cle Elum jump spot is an equal arc from the FBI DZ.. NOT EVEN CLOSE...

Proud Boys Hawaii chapter founder pleads guilty to obstruction of an official proceeding The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia said in a release that 36-year-old Nicholas Ochs of Honolulu and 32-year-old Nicholas DeCarlo of Fort Worth, Texas, could face up to 20 years in prison, plus financial penalties, for their actions. That's a shame.

Hi Bill, It was those worthless Dominion voting machines. We all know they are not accurate. Just ask Rudy Guliani or Sydney Powell. Jerry Baumchen

Information from the flight data recorder... the heading is one of the parameters. This corroborates the "FBI" path... and this may be the smoking gun...

Well, then one more anecdote: Back when I was part of a small club DZ, we had a couple 'annual' groups. They'd come out once a season and do one S/L jump. They'd take the full FJC, do their jump and disappear until the next year. Each year there were some that didn't come back, and some new ones in each group. They were all treated as 'first time' students, although the ones that had done it before (and done reasonably well) were given a bit more freedom under canopy. FWIW, it was out of a 182, one student per pass, and the pilots knew their stuff well enough that they'd be on jump run with the door opening just as the previous one was touching down. I actually started out with one of these groups, but after that first jump said "I have to do THAT AGAIN".

may as well lock this one now, nothing meaningful is coming from it any longer. when i hear that sl/iad training is not as safe and that jumping once a month shouldn't be allowed it's a shit show and full of anecdotal crap. took me over 22 years to get my a and not once was i not as safe as anyone else in the sky. i went to other dzs and jumped as a student, several times. as a student that one time when a b licensed jumper was on the wrong landing pattern and turned base directly toward me without seeing me, it was me that was watching and took evasive action to save his sorry ass from hitting me, not the licensed jumper avoiding the student or doing a correct pattern. and he was a current jumper who jumped several times a weekend. and by having 63 jumps to get my a, i was not only an expert at hop and pops but great at canopy work, all the way until i downsized to a 1:1 wl main. maybe next season i'll put it back on and learn how to work it as well as i can work my 218.

With Queen Elizabeth's passing, I am reminded that she had a sense of humor. I remember a video she did with the actor Daniel Craig. In the video, he's in the role of James Bond and him and the Queen are walking down a hall in the palace. He says, "And what of Donald Trump, ma'am?" Without stopping or turning her head, she said, "Make it look like an accident, 007."

Fun to see people still trying to throw facts around after all these years, as if *this* will be the time he comes around and starts listening. Brent doesn't care. This is about cheering for his team, the score and stats mean nothing whatsoever to him. He just wants your attention, because it doesn't look like there's much else going on for him.
