fmmobley 0 #180 January 22, 2009 QuoteViv has sent some additional info on the high altitude jump ... I received an email from one of the brothers Gray and others, to put a few people on the High Altitude Load for Friday, 13th. We don't usually manifest jumpers ahead of time so jumpers can have an equal opportunity of getting on these loads. But we are willing to reserve this load for the WS jumpers, or start manifesting, but it needs to be prepaid- $60 cash or $61 Credit card. Reminder: If you are on the Friday the 13th High Altitude Wingsuit Jump don't forget to email Viviana and let her know that you want to reserve a slot on that load. Her email address is: [email protected]... Marion

Skwrl 56 #183 January 23, 2009 QuoteI will also not be making it this year This is a huge disappointment, Stoney - it won't be the same without you. I will have to perform stupid human tricks (a.k.a., "Hold my beer and watch this...") in your honor. QuoteAdvice from experience: Do not cut away over the swamp! I can second that one. I got to explore the swamp and meet all of the tropical flora and fauna in a search for my main. It was only later on in the evening, when I was hanging out at the party at the dropzone, that I realized there were probably plenty of these guys in the swamp: http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Huxley71/bigspider.jpg (the picture doesn't do him justice, but the Brothers Gray can confirm that this dude was one Big Assed Spider).Skwrl Productions - Wingsuit Photography Northeast Bird School - Chief Logistics Guy and Video Dork

notsane 0 #193 February 4, 2009 I wanted to re-post this for your consideration ... Some last minute items to think about: I hate to travel on commercial flights with my gear, but both USPA and Cypres have some hints for making it easier (below) ... Remember to put your hook knife in your checked bag as well as your personal flotation device, if you bring one. PFD's are not required for beach jumps, but while "life insurance" only pays when you're dead, this investment pays off when you live. I wear one for the beach jumps ... Cabela's has them (below). Airlines are also being real dicks about the weight limit on checked bags. Weigh your bags when you pack them, or, like a fat girl who wants sex, be prepared to pay (giggity). http://www.uspa.org/USPAMembers/Membership/Travel/WithintheUS/tabid/311/Default.aspx http://www.cypres-usa.com/AirTravelUpdate.htm http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0043183943220a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryText=flotation&sort=all&Go.y=0&_D:hasJS=+&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/search/search-box.jsp.form23&Go.x=0&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-

vivfreeflying 0 #196 February 5, 2009 Hi, As mentioned earlier we don't usually pre-manifest for any of the High-Alti jumps but we have made an exception this year and I am informing that the load on Fri. is completely full.
