billvon 2,400 #1 December 13, 2002 just a quick post from arizona - after 13+ jumps we held a 300 way for 7 seconds. julie and i are currently pretty drunk, so i think i will hold off on the serious updates until tomorrow. some highlights: breakoff on jumper extraction is scary when the jumper in question has a momentary pilot chute in tow the alpha team is awesome for hanging in there while we get to do the 'glory jumps'. we couldn't have done it without them. we had some awesome pilots, and the skydive az team never let us down. this record took the efforts of nearly 1000 people, not just 300. finally, i am in awe that we managed to have 300 close-to-perfect skydives all that the same time, and the worst injury after 3900 consecutive jumps was a broken ankle. maybe that's the most important stat of all. dreamsville 0 #25 December 13, 2002 The 100 may have to be hybrids. It sounds like the 300 get to moving pretty slowly. Alternatively, if you had special suits you could slow the fall rate.
