Woke pandering backfires

WTF? Are you any more Gay than I am because your states name gets more points in scrabble than mine?

Just that there aren't a whole lot of people in Massachusetts would object to an insurance company marketing to gay people (along with elders, families, etc)

Dude, it’s Massachusetts.

AAA corporate offices in Lake Mary FL is posting similar content on their social media pages.

This hatred will impact FL financially, Gay Days are happening this month as usual, albeit with a decent amount of concern, fear, and anger.

It's odd to see such outlandish uproar over REALITY. The obsession with OTHER people's lives is troubling to me.

You think THAT's bad?

That one is more than 3 years old, that was before GOP polling found that they can use the LGBTQ group as a target group to foment hate. Actually the polling showed that people like Brent could very easily be motivated when they target trans youth specifically.

Trump started off his campaign with an attack on Mexicans in the USA. DeSantis seems to think he can fire up the base with attacks on the community of anyone non-cis gendered. This just shows that DeSantis is nowhere near as smart or in touch as Trump. Trump was smart enough to use non-voters as the target of hate.

I thought they all hated dems the most. Or is excess hate so plentiful that all their enemies can get some?

And now conservatives are turning on Chick-Fil-A of all places.

Right wing critic Ian Miles Cheong: "Chick-Fil-A has gone woke!"
Conservative think tanker Wade Miller: “Everything good must come to an end.”
Conservative Jeffrey Clark: they are "disappointing."

And why all the attacks?  Because their DEI page had the trigger phrases "ensuring equal access” “valuing differences” and “creating a culture of belonging” under the title “Committed to being Better at Together.”

These are the things that are intolerable to modern conservatives.

In a totally unrelated and completely coincidental development, Utah recently passed a law that was strongly supported by conservatives to ban books in schools that contain any "pornographic or indecent" material.  A parent protested the addition of a Bible in Utah school libraries since it contained mentions of "incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide. You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition."

And now the Bible has been removed from lower schools there, and conservatives are outraged.  There is, of course, already an appeal to get that book containing rape and prostitution back into the hands of kids.

Yep, you would have been boycotting Woolworth's because of their woke madness of letting blacks eat at their lunch counter.  Then claim "well, it's their fault for doing something so disgusting, not mine for choosing decency over wokeness."

Woolworth did not let blacks eat at their lunch counter  the boycott was in protest to this policy.  You are right, I would have supported a boycott of Woolworth.

“On September 9, 1960, seven local university students staged a sit-in at Woolworth's department store located at 1031 Canal Street to protest the store's refusal to serve Black people at the lunch counter.”

Correct.  Then they started allowing blacks to sit there after the boycott.  Then upstanding whites started boycotting Woolworth's for THAT.  The term for that is whitelash.

"Hey, I am as non-racist as they come.  I have a black friend!  But if Woolworth's wants to get on the woke madness train, well, I'll just take my business elsewhere.  It's not my doing; it's their decision to allow those blacks to mingle with upstanding whites and put our children at risk.  Their fault, not mine."

You claim this happened in the 50’s.  Sorry but I am going to call bullsh*t on this one.  Provide a source and I will reconsider. Otherwise I will chalk this up to an over enthusiastic SJW desperately seeking racism where there is none.

Maybe you should learn something about business. And if you're going to come back with your ostensible MBA as evidence of knowledge or experience let me be among the first to offer to go there and help demand that you get a full refund.

Thanks. Is one of those a pic of your MBA?

Crickets? Look, I make no claim to membership in the intelligentsia like my betters here, and you. As previously reported, I was kicked out of High School for running a card game and only went through the exercises (receiving an empty folder) owing to a teacher with my scores running interference. So if you have an MBA, be it a Military Batting Average, a Mifflin Buddy Anonymous card, or even a My Body Aches for Ted Cruz card, well inquiring minds......

There is a little business school that you may have heard of. They have articles that are FREE that can teach you things about business that FOX and truth social can't.

Here is one just for you: We’re Entering the Age of Corporate Social Justice is discusses the idea that building a brand and a corporate identity is important. In the boardrooms of large corporations. FOX excepted of course. Corporations develop a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

Here is your lesson for the day and a quote from the aforementioned story: "Corporate Social Justice requires deep integration with every aspect of the way a company functions."

Some dropzones have similar programs. Although free jumps for minorities are likely not a part of that. ALL likely put safety foremost, profitability second, training, etc.in order of importance. The quote above in reference to a DZ. Would be a DZ that ignores every FAR and passes out a cold brew on the way to altitude on the last jump of the day.

Hold on. You say that like it's a bad thing. :)

As long as it's put in a pocket and left there until after landing, it's not.

I know a DZ that sends people out to the landing area for the last jump.

Case of beer in the UTV to hand to landing jumpers.

Every once in a while, it seems like a jumper who didn't come anywhere near the 'beer distributors' ends up with a beer in his (or her) hand.

Aw, jeez, all sorts of grab a beer after the last load, or some landing shenanigans contest, are critical parts of the sport. In a way they signal an end to the repressive and constant focus on sanity and safety and the beginning of the party. That we can never lose.

Based on your last year or two of posting here I simply do not believe that for one second.

You are mad at Target for something they didn't do, just because you heard it from somebody else. You would totally get swept up in fighting for Woolworth's right to prohibit black people from eating at the lunch counter. There is absolutely no way you would stick your neck out for the rights of a minority.

Just like 15 to 20 years from now you will be telling your grandchildren how you always fought for the rights of the LGBTQ population.

Indeed; at Lost Prairie there is much discussion over whether or not red light begins when you open or when you land.
