Ill keep checking in for more information, but they have to at least meet the minimum mandate. My current policy meets the mandate (is grandfathered in) and is going to run me ~$250 a month from here out, $1000 deductible.

DrewEckhardt 0 #44 October 30, 2013 kallend***Insurance firms were salivating upon the thought of Obamacare. Major insurance firms announced long ago they'd have to raise rates 25% to handle complying with the law. Capitalism is wonderful. It is. Go down to Mexico and you can pay $25 cash for doctor visits or $35 for a one day hospital stay with a private room (one in America charged my insurance company $12,000 and I had to share with a guy having his knee replaced). Those are totals not insurance co-pays. While "capitalism" elsewhere and "corporatism" in America both start with the letter 'C' they are very different, much like the difference between "socialism" elsewhere and "corporatism" here with both ending in "ism." With capitalism companies compete in free markets with the interaction between supply and demand curves producing lower prices and/or more value for the same money. With corporatism they get laws passed on their behalf so that doesn't happen. For example, the most profitable forms of health insurance can be paid for with pre-tax dollars which lets the providers collect up to double the money for the same difference in take-home pay. So, the market place should be completely unregulated? When the mexican doctor fucks it all up and you lose a leg, or arm, or eye, or kidney. What exactly is your recourse? This brought corporate welfare to a whole new place never seen by the federal government. It REQUIRES people to purchase a particular service from a private company. That's not capitalism. That's called corporatocracy. My wife is hotter than your wife.

lawrocket 3 #49 October 31, 2013 turtlespeedThe news is getting so bad that even the left "Cover Obama's Ass" can't ignore it any longer. Yes, Obama ABSOLUTELY knew that we would lose our coverage. But he still kept telling us we wouldn't. Now the President is explaining himself. And now we can all feel better that he is looking out for us. "Just shop around in the new marketplace," said the President. "You're going to get a better deal." The President added, "Remember, before the Affordable Care Act, these bad-apple insurers had free rein every single year to limit the care that you received, or used minor pre-existing conditions to jack up your premiums, or bill you into bankruptcy." So the President has explained it. When he said, "If you like your plan you can keep it" what he meant was, "If I like your plan, you can keep it. If you like your plan but I don't like it, then you can either pay a fine or sign up for a plan that I say is better for you." See, the President is blaming "bad apple" insurers. There are insurers out there who will actually offer plans that people want! So there are in excess of 1.5 million plans out there being canceled? According to the President, that's a great thing because people SHOULDN'T have wanted those plans, anyway. When he said "if you like it you can keep it" his teleprompter malfunctioned. It should have been, "If your plan is canceled, then you didn't want it, anyway." "If I like you like your doctor, then we'll tell you whether you should have liked him/her." Thank you, Mr. President. I'm so glad that you are there to reeducate people who don't know what the fuck is good for them. It doesn't matter if they subjectively liked their plans. If they did like their plans but lost them, well, they shouldn't have. My wife is hotter than your wife.
