gas prices

Recommended Posts

I would have to agree with you about high oil & gas prices. I live in West Texas and have seen the booms & busts in the 'patch' IMHO If, there was some way, to keep a good 'medium', that would be better. Man! This is edging on SC!:o Don't wanna get moved.

This thread always makes me laugh when people start to moan about paying $2.00 per gallon.

here in the UK it would work out at over $6 per Gallon.

I'm gonna sound like a grandma here, but I distinctly remember one summer when gas prices were $0.76 per gallon. (!)

Now it's around $1.90 (or was it $1.97)? Whatever . . . it's REALLY HIGH for my (red)neck of the woods. :D

I haven't seen, as far as I can remember, prices under 2 bucks a gallon for over a year. Wisconsin is one of the highest taxed (fuel) states. Sure, we have some really nice roads, but this is insane.

Well, IIRC, England is on par, size wise, with the state of Oregon, and is more densely populated in places than China, so it's not like you have very far to drive. :P

i know everyone hates high gas pump prices, but it is a statistically proven fact that when oil and gas prices are high it's a sure sign of a growing and healthy economy.

Prpoblem is the growing and healthy economy causing these prices is in China.

Filled up yesterday at $2.14/gallon for regular. I used to burn about 30 gallons a week, but I now live <1 mile from work and from the dz, and have a company car/gas card for trips out to the field, so I'm only buying a tank ($50) every couple weeks (barring road trips).

I pay 2.56 if lucky, but at the Lake (Tahoe) it is 2.79 a gal. I drive 40 minutes on a mountain road each way and these prices are killing me. It's about 45.00 to fill up and I do that two times a week.
