I don't think one can say never in this or any circumstance. No one knows what the future may hold. Situations change constantly. Even those at the end that are too injured or sick to still jump usually get once last one. :)

When one has taken ones' last breath .... Once a skydive, always a skydiver - I'm sure that the memories of jumps and chums remain and make one smile until then end.

On my 'breaks' the sky keeps calling.

If you've got time to aim, you gave up WAY too soon. :P

Another reason to pull low, don't hafta worry about the problem as long. :)

I have a little more than 300 jumps and have not jumped in--four years?--I do not know how long.

For me, I still consider myself "a skydiver". I still believe I will once again start jumping regularly. In fact, I think about wanting to jump often, just not enough I would want to be jumping often enough to stay current (i.e. safe).

I voted "once a skydiver...", but I have to be clear: tandems do not a skydiver make, imo. I once heard a guy call himself a "skydiver" because he has made three tandems. :| Before I get flamed, I submit there are probably a couple exceptions to my rule.

Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I'm not a skydiver, never have been, never will be.:|

I jump often and frequent the DZ most weekends. but I don't define myself by an activity i do.

When you start BASE jumping and find out that this is much more fun than Skydiving and from then on you only go skydiving to test and firstjump new Wingsuits before you take them of a cliff :-)

SEEN or 'heard about'? ;)

~Of course IF ya ever went in skydiving AND survived, then NEVER stop jumping....I mean what are the odds of it happening twice?! B|

1. How long's it been since your last jump?
2. why don't you get your knees back in the breeze again - a genuine lack of opportunity or a lack of desire?

You left out a lot,!
3. Money issues
4.Family issues
5. location
6. Time restrains while studying(which leads back to money)
There are plenty more!

I think you misunderstood my post. I wasn't presuming anything; I was simply asking her to fill in a few details.

Me??? Misunderstand??That is Sooo unlike me!B|

As an aside, there are many members of Airtrash that are 3 and 4 digit D lisenses, , that can no longer jump, or their bodies only take a few jumps a year. they are our history, anyone gonna say they are no longer Skydivers?

Well, speaking as a 4-digit D license holder who took more than 10 years off, I'd have to say that you're a skydiver as long as:
1. you've been a skydiver in the past
2. you still consider yourself to be a skydiver
Jack Bergman was the treasurer of USPA for a long time after he had to quit jumping for health reasons. I think he was still a skydiver :)

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

You're no longer a skydiver when you post too much random worthless crap on the bonfire.

Really :D:D:D:D

I just stopped reading and had to post immediately. I'm guessing there are several others quoting you before I did.

I post worthless crap all the time and made 6 jumps yesterday. The video is on facebook so it must have happened.
