ridestrong 1 #37 September 7, 2010 Quote Go back and look at the genius fight choreography of early Jackie Chan. Very long cuts, nice wide framing so you can see what's going on and it's amazing stuff. +1 Yep! The OLD Jackie Chan flicks have the best fight scenes hands down... and blow away the Bruce Lee movies that were much more 'Hollywood' oriented. Some of my fav old school Chan, Kung-Fu movies: - New Fist of Fury (1976) - Snake & Crane Arts of Shaolin (1978) - Drunken Master (1978) - The Fearless Hyena (1979)*I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----

AggieDave 6 #40 September 13, 2010 I posted in the copied thread in SC, but this thread is better with more interest... Chuck Norris vs. Bruce Lee in the movie Way of the Dragon. Best fight scene ever filmed. Real moves, real people. No CG, no wires, the only effect was that they had to slow the film down because both fighters were moving so fast.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." happythoughts 0 #46 September 14, 2010 QuoteTo be fair, they only used the name. I mean, none of the Bourne movies have anything to do with Ludlum books... I read all the Ludlum books at one point, but I got to where I couldn't remember which one it was. The plot was always... Jason finds something out, he goes to a foreign country, finds the exactly correct guy, gets information, goes to a foreign country... They kind of got to be like a Rick Steves travel show. happythoughts 0 #48 September 14, 2010 There is a karate movie made in 1976 called Fighting Black Kings. It used to be available on VHS, but I doubt it made it to DVD. You can find it on Youtube, but it would be torture because you have to fast forward most of it. It documents a martial arts tournament in Japan that was full contact. No pads or gloves. People wrapped their hands to keep them from breaking. Most of the movie was hype and fairly boring, but the fight scenes were videos of the actual tournament. The kung fu and thai styles got spanked pretty early. The Japanese took some people out in less than 30 seconds. One head shot and down.

I liked the new Casino Royale Bond movie fight scene up on the crane, hanging from scaffolding, etc.
