I've had the same situation with one hand on each handle and could not get the cut away cable to budge with the handle un-velcroed. When I went to both hands on the cut away handle (like trained), I stared at the reserve handle and cut away. My RSL was connected by the way and beat me to my reserve pull .... and I was right on the pull. Life is short ... jump often.

The impact to me looks more toward the left shoulder .... where an RSL might be attached. "Shoestring" theory, but maybe wrapping onto the RSL and tugging on it ? His handle looks in place at 22 secs as he is inflating. Life is short ... jump often.

You do know not to mount any camera to a helmet without a cut-away system, right ? Maybe this is a bad idea (for your camera helmet). Life is short ... jump often.

On the strap side you will need a button tool (which forces the female 2 button pieces together and thru the fabric and also curls a lip to hold to the pieces together).

Seriously though ..... you might be able to attach the male snap piece to the helmet with an 8/32 x 3/8 long bolt backed by a small washer on the inside. Hold that with a nut and use "Locktight" on the threads ..... maybe. Life is short ... jump often.

I think using THE before things is more of a Southern California thing. Whenever I hear it, I (politely ) ask .... are you from L.A. ? 99 % of the time, they answer YES. Life is short ... jump often.

I don't understand the need, or use, of "THE" in front of names of cities, freeways, etc. Examples: "We will be flying to THE California next week". "Traffic on THE 80 is slow this evening". "THE Yosemite is open for camping this week". Right or wrong, it sounds dumb .......... and drives me crazy. Life is short ... jump often.
