  1. You should be able to see a slight bow in the brake line in full flight (hands off toggles to make sure). If they are tight or if you can see any tail deflection in full flight, that is a sign for sure of shortened brake lines. Life is short ... jump often.
  2. Since your life will change in 3 years, you could let the pressure of being a Foreman go. Relax more for the last three years. Straight Journeyman work. Maybe classify as a Traveler and go to a nearby Local for work. Relax. Life is short ... jump often.
  3. In what exact trade are you a journeyman ? How did this guy become your boss ? Life is short ... jump often.
  4. Quote So .... 1.4 wingloading on the 143R ........ good luck if you are ever unconscious under that reserve .... toes, knees, face. Life is short ... jump often.

  7. How did the cut-away go ..... did you hesitate .... or try to fix it (a waste of altitude with that mess) ..... or did you just see the mess and go for it ? A great learning experience either way.
  8. If god visits Switzerland, she better remember her Israeli passport or she may not be able to return home. Life is short ... jump often.

  12. Rent a car from the airport property ( Hertz, etc ). Make sure to set up the deal ( reserve a car ) as early as possible. Trying to get one on the day you arrive will cost more and a car may not be available Life is short ... jump often.

  16. I don't know what your mount looks like but, my cx 110 is mounted on a Goldmember. I had the same problem of course. I slid my cam back on the plate until I could open the flap. Then marked the spot where the cx screw hole was, and drilled a new counter sunk hole in the plate. Works just fine. Life is short ... jump often.

  23. Thanks for the link. I looked, to make sure they were still making new episodes. 2016's season will be the last one. They may already have it in the can, I don't know. I don't feel that I am computer savy enough to forward all the discussed forum info here. I would want to direct them to this forum. Is there anyone out there who would take this to Myth Busters ? Keeping in mind, this would be free research, and Myth Busters seems to go the extra mile in their research. Life is short ... jump often.
  24. Ok of course no problem. I hadn't been clear on what you were objecting to. I was just using 750 and 1000 as simple approximations, rather than arguing numbers in between. Clearly the pressure behind on object in freefall will be lower. And higher on front, eg highest at the stagnation point. For an AAD inside a skydiver's rig, with the skydiver on his back, I'm not sure just what the pressure will be -- due to the large size and volume of the pack, the pressure increase at the sensor might be a fair bit less than at the stagnation point itself. In any case we don't know exactly what sort of pressure changes exist at the AAD sensor in different body positions. This sounds like a case for Myth Busters ......... Life is short ... jump often.
