yep I agree, I did my first few hundred jumps w/o one and then bought a used one. If you HAVE to have one you prolly shouldn't be jumping. If you'd LIKE to have one I understand. Buy one that's 8 years old prolly can pick it up for 400 bucks, less if it still needs the check. Stay current and safe.

well here one rigger just had a baby and the other rigger is back in South africa. But I will seek out some others and see.

yesterday when jumping I had both my leg straps slip all the way to the ends on opening. I have 250 jumps on the rig and never had it happen before. I jump a spectre and opening was not harder or softer than normal. Ideas? container was a Mirage g3. I always check them just b4 exit and they were tight.

one thing I didn't see, our dz started doing, red light sticks on ur back side and green/amber on the front. that way you know which way a canopy is flying. Did my 1st night jump moonless. what a rush. In Sebastian on a full moon the light refected off the indian and sebastian rivers and the atlanic is wonderful, have fun and play safe

this is why we need fun jumpers on the BOD at the USPA. Someone with US the fun jumpers in mind VOTE for the funjumpers

because of what we have learned in the past, from 1st person or seeing friends killed because they wanted a little more speed. I for one am tired of people getting killed under good canopies. I've heard it all. Funny I've never thought landing off "boy i wish I had a canopy with 20-40 less sqr feet" What's the rush? it's not that we want to spoil any ones fun. It's that we'd like to see you jump for 20 plus years with out getting hurt

I just flew orlando to midway on ata, no trouble at all. I have never checked my rig and will not. I just put it in my gear bag. They never gave me any trouble about my cypres or my hook knife I forgot to take off my rig. Go figure!
