other things get them to the mock up early. Nothing like planing a formation and seeing someone walking out to the loading area w/o a jump suit and to late to find one for them. I start with a simple jump 1st to check fall rates few basic points and build on it. Pick a landing direction if winds are light. Climb out and exit count. Talk about outside camera guy and break off. I also speak about calming down, remind them that they have a lot of time. Keep it positive, focused and fun but safe most of all! Let us know how it goes

if you have been rejected by 2 insurance companies in florida you would have been able to join the Florida high risk pool. At rates that healthy people pay. My wife was in it for years. So I'm not sure why you had trouble, but something smells fishy. My rates went up over 600% part due to obamacare part do to Obamanomics. I was told that 160% was do to obamacare. And to expect a 150% increase next year. Much highier copays and deductables and we could not keep our old plan because it was "no longer available"

what they said and loose some pounds. I am 5'9" went from 218 to 175. It changed my skydiving. I can leave early and float up, leave late and swoop. Get the new suit but lose some "fall rate enhancing belly" I did it with 30 mins on wii fit and changed a few things I was eating. You can do it....if you really want to.

Is it time to work on 1 year repack cycles?
bodypilot90 replied to bodypilot90's topic in Gear and Rigging
How many reserves today have acid mesh? A rig can be repacked today, this evening thrown in a pool and dried out. and jumped. A rigger can not control how a rig is handled after leaving the loft. Wear is induced at every repack. If Pd says the reserve is ok @ 12 months, I live less than 3 miles from the dz. Its stored in ac. I take care of my stuff. I don't see any reason to have a rig repacked less than 12 months -

Is it time to work on 1 year repack cycles?
bodypilot90 replied to bodypilot90's topic in Gear and Rigging
But the repacking the reserve causes wear. I shocked at the amount of skydivers today that do not/ can not pack their own mains or even could rig a main on risers. That being said it's not the rigger, it's the skydiver that is at risk and should be smart enough to check their own gear. But then again we have the uspa saying we must pull at 2500 for our own safety. Terry if there were no regs on repacks how long would you go on your own rig before repacking the reserve. -

Last I heard Germany was on a one year repack cycle, is it time to update the US and others? -
yes even Pd says 1 year is fine. I know of a few over 12 months that opened great never as long as 5 years.....

This weekend had a chat with our newbie group, Most had thoughts of giving up because no one would jump with them. They now have a "family" it's a shame so many others want to be friends as long as they pay for coach jumps. A couple weeks ago I had a great time taking a few of the youngsters on their 1st 7 way. They did great, wasn't golden knights but sure was fun. and the grins were golden Remember next time your at the dz and the plane is not turning, You might be why. When there is only 3 belly fliers on the dz and you would like to do 4 way or 8 way. We have to grow our own. Don't just stand there, JUMP-IN Besides all that you have new people to tell all your "old" stories too -

We use something called "jump in" once a week we get together offer coaching and fun jumps, mentoring, Provide a safe place for newbies to ask things and locate stuff they need. Every jump is on video and it's working great. We even are working on some fun stuff with SNE that also has a jump in group. It takes time and someone to keep at recuitment (staff helps me) We believe no one should have to do a solo...... Having the time of my life and building some great friendships and skydivers along the way. Would be glad to help anyone who wants to "jump in" and help build our future airspeed team members http://www.theharryparker.com/site/jump-in -
I hate jumping the Pac, I'd take a Caravan to a king air or pac any day but love otters and sky vans. but on a slow day you can get a caravan up more on a slow day. Life in Florida is nice!
