  1. Pat Robertson, piece of shit that he is does not represent all Christians just as Osama Bin Laden does not represent all Muslims. They are both simply fanatical trash. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  2. Damn, his name rings some bells but I just can't place him. Does anyone know if he had anything to do with a satellite operation in Franklin Wisconsin at the Rainbow Airport back in the early 70's? You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  3. I notice the slogan "Fear no man!"; and yet there's nothing about not having to fear women. Yeah, they can be vicious You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  4. Good luck fossg, I wish the best for you and your dear Mom. Its actually devastating to the family. Being a recent recipient of that dreadful situation, I made it clear in my living will that if I am incapacitated for any reason at any time, I want to go to the home. Not the house, but the home. I have seen many of my friends struggle with the same problem and I will not ruin the better years of my son's life with him having to deal with my health problems. My Mother struggled for many years because her mother just didn't want to go to the old folks home. This put the family into a real bad situation as it was like having a baby in that they could never do anything, go on vacation or even enjoy a day off. I refuse to be so selfish that I don't consider the well being of my son. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  5. That would make sense! Animal food is all the parts not fit for humans. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  6. Your cheapest printer is a copier that is connected. They are a bit larger but copiers depreciate lightning fast and you can pick them up cheap. Your typical cost per copy is about 1 cent for black & white vs 10 to 15 cents per copy on a cartridge printer. The typical yield on a copier is about 20,000 copies for a $25 toner cartridge. If you want a black & white with color printer/copier like the Minolta 3105 or Konica 8031 (same copier), your cost per color copy is about 4.5 cents. You can even maintain it yourself. Ebay and craigslist is full of cheap copiers and you can get a decent one for a couple hundred bucks. If you can't find one send me a private message and I will lead you to them. 7. Never had that problem as I have carried a cell phone both jumping (a great safety idea) and flying for years. It should easily handle the barometric pressure changes but it could be that if its in a tight area you are somehow smooching it. 8. Those nasty tacos are really foul. I don't know what they put in them but I suspect they have a direct line from the septic system. You are right, they don't have them in Chicago anymore as I use to go to one in Palatine, Il. But I am fortunate enough to pass 2 of them in Tennessee (Murfreesboro and Nashville) and I have to time my trips since they are so good. They eleminated the monster taco a couple years ago but the good news is their regular smaller size is just as nasty as the big ones were. I am quite thankful for those locations as the after-effects keep me awake though I have to ventilate the car often. 9. If someone gets close enough to be tased, they are close enough to be the recipient of a basic move that puts karate to shame. I’m no tough guy and would never instigate an altercation, but years ago I learned a few techniques that were used before the Vietnam war by the military but were later deemed too cruel (typical). The closest I can come to describing the moves is found at closecombattraining.com/ (this is not a plug as I have no interest in this company, but it’s a great reference). I had the unfortunate experience a few years ago to use a technique similar to what he is advertising. This person or should I say victim came up from behind me at an airport. Apparently he though I was someone else he had some kind of issues with. He grabbed my shoulder and turned me around violently. When I saw the anger in his eyes I instinctively made 1 single move which resulted in 3 operations to rebuild his jaw, oral surgery to put upper gum line back and a permanently cracked eye socket. I was questioned but a review of security cameras got him arrested. They took him away in an ambulance. The problem with these moves is there is no way to control the force you are using as its all at a maximum level. They are severe but very effective. 11. I don't know what's up with that. Because like many business that cease to exist, their web sites are paid for. Skydive magazines web site is paid thru and expires 7-16-10 so I assume it will be up until then. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  12. I didn't want kids either, but later on something was missing. Being single didn't help but I always wanted a son. So I went out and got one. It was quite common years ago especially for single farmers to go out and adopt a kid from the local orphanage. So I basically did the same thing. The process was a real pain (background checks, etc.), but it was worth it. I adopted a 9 year old boy from the State of Florida back in '87 and he's 32 now (I tell him he's 32 going on 12) which is about right sometimes. (SEE PIX) Anyway I quit skydiving for a few years and went through the usual Dad shit of coaching soccer, little league, etc for about 10 years. Now I can't imagine a life without a kid, but its nice to have them grown too. I travel quite a bit these days and we talk several times a day (I am and will always be his Papa). 13. The criminal justice is a farce. Got money. You're OK. Not. You're fucked. Edit to add. Tthere are exceptions but that's the norm. Agreed, its justice for all "with money". You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  14. Its part of that whole global warming scam. http://abfreedom.blogspot.com/2007/01/polar-bears-and-global-warming-scam.html Real people never bought this scan as it was never based on legitimate research. And I suspect there won't be many people disputing this as its typical of liberals to run for cover when they are proven wrong, which is most of the time. With their tails between their legs they quickly changed the scam to "global climate change". You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  15. 2 weeks ago at DeLand on Saturday the winds aloft were at least 40 at 4K and about 70 at altitude. They died to about 15 or so at 100ft so I decided to jump. Turbulence was quite strong during the canopy ride and when I made my final turn for landing I was really tracking across the ground. When I cranked a hard right toggle to make that final turn, nothing happened. Quite scary but it was apparent I was in some kind of wind or turbulence related effect and based on where I was I could easily have been killed. Thankfully the thing finally decided to turn and the landing was uneventful, except for the cookies I lost. Thats the last jump I will make in high winds! 16. For sure, this kind of small fry wouldn't even be on the radar. When we go for bribery in defence contracts, we go for billions and then spend our time trying to cover it up, not prosecute it. Right you are. The criminal goings on in government area appalling and most laws that lead to prosecutions are made by grandstanding politicians. It doesn't matter what is right or wrong anymore and I have lost all respect for the US Government. If you add up all their crimes, it could be deemed a criminal organization much like Stalinist Russia was. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  17. Don’t you think that your assumption that I know it to be a lie and then insulting that assumption is out of character for someone who is supposed to be a moderator? What research have you performed to determine this as a lie? I guess the attached pictures supporting the article are altered! 18. No. It fits the wishful thinking of those that continue to forward it. Nothing more. This is the first time I saw it, and if it’s been around for awhile that’s great. It should be forwarded regularly and kept alive. I speak for many as I’m sick and tired of supporting dysfunctionals who won’t work and sponge off society. 19. It was sent to me in an email. But it doesn't matter where its from, it fits the profile of people of character and integrity and not those of the dysfunctional people it rightfully degrades. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  20. Typical of US Government Agents. Making a case through fraud and deception (sting). This kind of shit is never allowed by European Governments and simply keeps this garage we call Agents in jobs. What a useless bunch of vermin not fit to wipe our ass on. 21. This text is from a county emergency manager out in the western part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan after a severe snow storm ... The Mining Journal,Marquette, MI THIS IS HOW CIVILIZED PEOPLE WORK!!! WEATHER BULLETIN Up here in the Northern part of Michigan we just recovered from a Historic event --- may I even say a "Weather Event" of "Biblical Proportions" --- with a historic blizzard of up to 44" inches of snow and winds to 90 MPH that broke trees in half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in lethal snow banks, closed ALL roads, isolated scores of communities and cut power to 10's of thousands. FYI: Obama did not come. FEMA did nothing. No one howled for the government. No one blamed the government. No one even uttered an expletive on TV. Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton did not visit. Our Mayor's did not blame Obama or anyone else. Our Governor did not blame Obama or anyone else either. CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC did not visit - or even report on this category 5snow storm. Nobody demanded $2,000 debit cards. No one asked for a FEMA Trailer House. No one looted. Nobody - I mean Nobody demanded the government do something. Nobody expected the government to do anything either. No Larry King, No Bill O'Rielly, No Oprah, No Chris Mathews and No Geraldo Rivera. No Shaun Penn, No Barbara Striesand, No Brad Pitts, No Hollywood types to be found. Nope, we just melted the snow for water. Sent out caravans of SUV's to pluck people out of snow engulfed cars. The truck drivers pulled people out of snow banks and didn't ask for a penny. Local restaurants made food, and the police and fire departments delivered it to the snow bound families.. Families took in the stranded people - total strangers. We fired up wood stoves, broke out coal oil lanterns or Coleman lanterns. We put on an extra layers of clothes because up here it is "Work or Die". We did not wait for some affirmative action government to get us out of a mess created by being immobilized by a welfare program that trades votes for 'sittin at home' checks. Even though a Category 5 blizzard of this scale is not usual, we know it can happen and how to deal with it ourselves. 23. Did that taxi driver stuff for over 2000 hours. I don't have a problem relieving a pilot once in a while for a lunch or bathroom break, but any more than that and I'm following the jumpers out.
