  1. The past two weekends I have taken my phone with me on every jump. I have noticed that it lags, and freezes up to the point where I have to take the battery out to get it going again. My phone never does this. I thought it might be the pics and stuff on it, so I deleted all of them and some other stuff..but it's still freezing up. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem.
  2. I am in the market for an audible that of course, beeps at me during freefall, and an audible that has canopy alarms. I am familiar with a a couple, but have digital logbooks. So, is there a reliable audible out there with both alarm modes, but minus the digital logbook? (trying to keep the price down)
  3. I have a Sony DCR HC-21 series camera. I can't seem to get the mini-dv to load into the camera. I can't close the cover, and it beeps, and on the LCD screen it says "Re-attatch power source". I tried that, on the computer and from the wall charger. Never has given me a lick of trouble until now... Any ideas?
  4. Okay today I was impulse buying and started off getting a JVC, then came home and read some bad reviews, so I returned it and got a Sony HC21, does anyone out there have one or know anything about one?
  5. I just bought one of these and was wondering if anyone has any exp. with one. Also I am in the process of mounting the camera on a bonedaddy helmet, i think it is the pimpdaddy or somethin like that, its just a plain helmet(not made for cameras), anyone have any mounting advice?
  6. Hey Turtle, you didn't get that nice pretty plaque at Mo's Bar did you?
  7. Yeah, whats wrong with a falcon? I jump one right now, It's a little slow, okay it's REALLY slow, but the thing is bulletproof to my packjobs. My first couple of packjpobs and up were on that thing, and I survived all of them! Aside from being old, slow, oh who am I kidding I can't wait until I get a new canopy
  8. Yeah, I've had one before, like you said, it was more annyoing than anything but I was thinkin red and silver just before my hard deck... I think I set a record for the number of controllability checks you can do in one jump
  9. You know, now that I think about it, your buddy asked me while he was walking your lines "Hey dude, is this a step-through?" In fact it was a step through, but I believe that it got fixed before he closed it all up, but I was also in my own little world packin' away... But anyway, could a step through cause that kind of mess?
  10. So I have been pondering at the idea of doing some CReW lately... and today finally got around to givin' it a shot, and WOW!!! So, on my 1st CReW jump, I flew my canopy into the back of the other jumper, she slid down my lines, said What's up, and flew off, then it was my turn. Wendy flew behind me, I grabbed the topskin of her canopy, slid down her lines. I steered it for a couple seconds, and then she asked "Hey, wanna do a downplane". Of course I said yes. She over-emphasized tne need to "hold on", at the time I didn't really know why, that didn't last very long. I hugged her legs, and down we went. And it seemed to me that we were pretty much parallel with the ground. I was holding on for dear life, until I finally had to let go. I had a blast and very much want to do it again! I can see why you guys love CReW so much! Thanks Wendy!
  11. It's mainly a timing issue, I had one eyed for about 2 days and it was sold before I could get to the DZ and get some advice... But I see what you mean. BTW, how much does a 4yr cost?
  12. Funny you should ask. At the time I did not have the money to buy one. I have the money now, just waiting for the right one to come along and BAM! Im gettin it. There is one now, but I'd rather not buy something that cost 500$ or more and still have to pay for a 4 year. IMO, not very good customer service, and Im sure Ill get critisized for sayin that but oh well... But, I will have one hopefully soon...
  13. making adult decisions suck
  14. I know I won't get my tax return for a couple of months, but if I don't make a decision now, I will blow it all on stuff I don't really need. I took out a pretty hefty student loan a while back, and if my math is correct, I should start receiving the bill in February or close to it. I could pay off a pretty good chunk if I used 90% (I need about 10% for savings account) of my tax return on my loan. Here is the hard part... I test jumped a pilot about a month ago and I can't stop thinkin about it, I WANT ONE! So my options are; brand spankin' new Pilot, or paying off some lame ass loan. If I buy the Pilot, I will have the loan payments which will almost completly take away my skydiving money, I might be able to get 1 or 2 jumps a week, maybe... If I pay the loan off, I will have no payments
