When I was jumping with Jon we went with 1 and 2 cans and in both configurations you could definately see the smoke trail from the ground.. I think 4 jumps with 2 cans would be very easy to spot.

West point is doing wingsuits on the weekend of May 6, i'll be doing instructing -- c'mon out lets make some big flocks!!

Is this picture from Feb of This year or Feb of last year ?? If it is this year, I don't see how they could possibly be anywhere near opening in Feb (as they were originally predicting) if it is feb last year, well.. they need to update their website :)

I just heard a commercial for UPS and the president? owner? someone from Velocity helmets was speaking about how they use ups to ship their skydiving helmets, etc.. Anyone else heard it ? Lots of skydiving in commercials lately, the #1 Superbowl commercial was a skydiving one for budweiser..

If you're a techie you can use Vomit I've used it, works pretty well in the scenerios I've used it in. I believe it only works with Cisco though.

This isn't true for us wingsuit flyers! When people make fun of wingsuit flyers I always laugh and tell them I'm getting my money's worth out of the jump In 40 skydives I can get 80 minutes of freefall on average

Anyone who has seen flight of the phoenix, can you explain this whole using a shotgun shell to start the engine thing? I've never seen that and i'm really scratching my head as to exactly how that one works.

Well I get in on the 8th and have to get settled in so won't be jumping then, no chance of the 9th or the following weekend?

Voodew, i forget - are you a BMI? That jump was a huge accident waiting to happen as Kris has already pointed out, a camera helmet, a 107, no cypres? Congrats on your first BM jump, but more congrats on not killing yourself. I didn't read how many jumps you had on the 107 before taking it on a BM jump. I STILL very rarely jump with a camera helmet on my BM jumps and I have over 250 of them, that of course is a personal preference - always have a cypres and jump a lightly loaded hornet.

I just got an email from him the other day, I don't think he posts here much - he's working on something right now for discovery called extreme survivial, getting shoulder surgery soon, and that's about it. For those who are interested, here is an interview I did with him a while back.

Just keep in mind, the time I was out there doing Balloon loads it was basically 1 bird at a time. What would be cool is if there were two balloons taking off at the same time that had ws flyers in them, you might could pull of multiple 2 ways if you both launch at the same time. That'd be cool

Yep, have to agree - high suckage factor. I played a good video game before the movie though I guess that was the highlight of my night at the movies. Afterwards I went to a bar in Fayettville, NC and had a jolly rancher infusion for the first time, (sky vodka & jolly ranchers?) was very good
