  1. They said the date was pushed backto end of Jan. but I am not holdig my breath
  2. Normally I would agree with Lurch but what if you have a suit that goes up? Combined with a double rainbow? Would you then be able to "skip" like a stone on water on these rain drops? Ugh so many questions...

    Rodeo Fun

In case people might be tempted to blame the size of the X3 on that PC hesitation, I have seen it a couple times on a much smaller suit made by Matter... Not sure which model but it was like the shadow
  4. Apparently this a canadian company but the product is built in mexico the original HUD they had prior to the flight HUD is also not shipping
  5. The news about these just keeps getting better and better
  6. Paralog is free to use http://www.paralog.net/ if you want to use it as a logbook (save all your jumps) you will have to buy the full version. The free trial lets you analyse your jumps one at a time! You will be able to generate those graphs yourself. Also you guys might want to check out http://www.paralog.net/ppc/ That is where wingsuiters (and some trackers) go to compare their flights with others from all over the world. There are performance competitions (for trackers too). On the left side of the site you can search by suit, look for FF suit or tracking suit. Naked tracking too. The rules are simple and the tracks are set between 2000 and 3000 meters and all you need to do is set the graph in Paralog to zoom in to those altitudes and press the "Submit to PPC" button for your tacks to show up on the competition site (it's free) I can provide more detailed information/help to those that want it, just send me a PM
  7. Under qualified? You try getting the booties to hold on your heels... Then we'll see who is under qualified

  9. Many people explained it well, dive and flare... it's not complicated but for you to actually say there was no dive and no flare and to call people ignorant made you look ridiculous... I would love to see any video of any person flying any wingsuit going up because of a thermal
  10. Your first post in this thread LOL
  11. Another one who post without reading previous messages. All I've been saying the entire topic is that the latest largest wingsuits can gain altitude even momentaneously with thermals, ridge soaring or with speed to lift like on the video in china. We were discussing "how it climbed" not "if it climbed" Actually this whole thread you were pretty consistent about how wingsuits DO NOT gain altitude with speed but thermals and ridge lift... I did read every post in this thread and you only changed position after someone that was there descibed the situation we all already knew to be true, I suggest you don't call anyone here ignorant till you have some wingsuit jumps under your belt.
  12. Giselle/Lauren, I am curious as to why you do not think he was in a dive if he traveled from exit point to under the cable cars in roughly 20sec.? Even if you have not flown a wingsuit I know you are smart enough to understand they slow down a person's vertical speed so if he wasn't diving than how do you explain him eating up that altitude so fast? Also I am curious to know wether or not you agree there is a drastic change in body position once he reaches the cable cars/finish line?
  13. No dive huh? Ok I guess we do need 5 more pages of this shit... Carry on!
  14. Ok, the title says "Wingsuits gain altitude PERIOD!" Flaring after a dive gives you a (small) gain in altitude PERIOD! Jumping out of skyvan at a decent speed gives you a (small) gain in altitude PERIOD! Without the wingsuit no gain PERIOD! So Giselle/Lauren do you agree with the first post in this thread? Yes or no? Everyone else does so I am asking you... Do we really need 5 pages of this shit?
  15. Actually I think it's Lauren now
  16. Only if you want cheap flights and on site trailer

    Wifi buffs?

    Very cool, thank you both!

    Wifi buffs?

We have a wifi network at work with a guest account that is not password protected, we can all use it as long as we are discreet! Problem is it doesn't go all the way out to the back and it would be nice if it did. They will not let us set up another router or anything so I was wondering if any devices were available to "spread" the wifi back there... Discreetly!!! I have seen some antenea booster thingies but they all plug in with USB, we need 100% wireless/hide in the ceiling kind of thing lol
  19. Can we zero the altitude? ::Just read the FAQ and altimeter will have manual setting
  20. Yet this person had the rating and had there not been video on that jump things might be different. He was able to demonstrate he could communicate AND prioritize correctly to get the rating though. A WSI rating would not stop bad teaching but I do agree it would people accountable but in the end pointing the finger after someone its the tail does not fix the problem
  21. I sold a Sabre2 I had when I decided to focus only on wingsuiting and bought a Storm. That said the Sabre2 did spin up on me a bunch of times but it was always well behaved with the twists. It kept flying well! The Storm's openings are "calmer" than my Sabre2, haven't really had any twists on the 100 jumps I put on it... btw I can't pack for shit I am happy with the openings but I don't like the fact it has a steep glide and the brakes are very low, I bought it used so the lines should be in trim and my rigger seems to think so too but I feel like I can't shut it down like I did with Sabre2
