What are you doing to calculate freefall speeds?? this kinda blows that the device isn't working right. It works fine, only the delay was affected on a few jumps! No idea what might have caused it

I have a bunch of 3 second delays using my flysight so now I rely on my camera for accurate time

Got a new G4 in December with the WS mods and I like em! Haven't had any issues on the jumps made with it... Might post some pics this weekend unless others do first Edit to add: If you are buying new I don't see why you wouldn't get them, they charged me something like 35$ for the corners and bridle so...

Well it would be ok on any DZ as it is not really hard to subtract a few hundred to get your true alt. if you you are aware enough to fly a wingsuit I think it stands to reason you are aware enough to do simple math... Ok maybe not on your FFC but down the line! Anyway I wouldn't pay that much money on an altimeter that doesn't let me zero it, the other options I get on my GPS and aren't as important to me

Jeb uses it all the time maybe he will chime in... All I know is you can't zero he altitude so...

So how is landing a parahute after jumping out of a plane or top of a B.A.S.E. not just a stunt? Because it is done on a daily basis? It's all the same landing is another word for stunt... Pretty sure after the first airplane flight (ever) people were saying "Hey that was a nice stunt"

We would have to start by defining what a wingsuiter is, some people will almost only jump a wingsuit... some people 50% of the time and some much less than that so is someone who flies HIS wingsuit less than 5 times a year a wingsuiter? Only thing we know for sure is not enough people fly wingsuits... At least in my neck of the woods

Right, I got that but you said the closest we got to landing was the Loïc flyby... Actually I think it was Jeb's crash in Africa but whatever, landing the wingsuit on a slope will hurt or kill you no matter what so it will never count. We need a whole other design (in my opinion) to be able to pull that off in which case the major advancement will not be the landing but the new design of suit that lets us land it.

A Loïc style landing would just be a controlled crash on a slope, same thing as the box stunt only in my opinion a higher chance of not making it even if you hit your mark

I think this is as close a real landing as we can get, there is just no way we will flare and land on a branch in the middle of a tree. Would it be a real landing if he used wheels all over his suit to roll away? Would it be a real landing if he used a "sled" or air mattress to slide away? If the only way to get a real landing is to be able to land it anywhere on any surface like a bird than I don't think we will ever see it unless there is a dramatic change in the suits, next time you jump your canopy put your feet in the risers so you are belly to earth and don't attempt to flare... These suits we have today will always need something to help us land... Other than balls that is!
