  1. My canopy pregression was as follows Pilots 188 @ 1.0 jump 30 - 140 Safire2 159 @ 1.2 jumps 140-210 Safire2 149 @1.27 jumps 210 - 750 Safire 129 @ 1.5 currently The safire2 149 loaded at 1.27 was a fantastic all around canopy and wing loading. I put over 500 jumps on that canopy and loved it. Never really had issues with being blown backwards (choosing reasonable wind limits helps) Always felt like a solid canopy in bumpy conditions (again avoiding jumping in gusty conditions and learn to avoid turbulent areas helps) It was also a very fun canopy to fly fast if and when you want. I was the same in that swooping was not a goal, but as I progressed and learned more about canopy flight HP landing did become something I really enjoy. You can still have really fun, nice, fast landings on a lightly loaded canopy. If you are looking to downsize because jumping in high winds is a problem also remember that landing the smaller canopy in no wind conditions is going to be much faster. When the wind picks up to 15knots or so Im usually trying to convince people its time to go drink beer, landing in high winds just isnt fun. Some good reads here Big canopies and turbulence http://www.dropzone.com/safety/Canopy_Control/Big_Canopies_in_Turbulence_718.html Something I found pretty interesting regarding higher wingloading was from Bryan Burkes Eloy incident summary Full article can be found here http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4098042;search_string=bryan%20burke;#4098042 Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  2. Amateur mistake running out of beer. Spoken like a true master. Only difference is, you were in a tent at sunrise. Not yours though. And that's why it's smart to keep extra beers in your tent Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  3. Not everywhere and everyone. There's always some peeps around the bonfire at dawn at Lost Prairie, it seems. But not this guy anymore. Me neither. But when that guy sitting next to the smoldering bonfire at sunrise asked for a beer... major props young pup. Amateur mistake running out of beer. 10. Darwin Parachute club. Batchelor, northern territory, Australia Around the end of july. Runs every second year. I could swear it is the sister boogie of lost prairie. The oldest running boogie in Aus, amazing area of the world, incredible people. Ill stop now so I dont get into trouble for promoting another boogie in this thread. My plan was to alternate the boogies and go to LP when Batchelor is on an off year but Im going to be tight for time this year I think. My Main reason for traveling back to Canada and America is to visit my family and go camping with them, unfortunately this is in early july and they cant change their holidays. I think a can allow for a month of travel out of Australia this summer but I also have to do a trip to Vienna to see a girl, either on the way to, or from Canada and that really cuts into my travel time. I'll try my best to make it, you never know whats happening with me
  11. Wonder how long it will be until the movie comes out. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  12. Hoping I can make it this year. I will be back in Canada in july for a visit. Unfortunately Im not able to spend much time outside of Australia with my current work visa. I think you all may need to come a visit the Australian version of LP next year at Batchelor :) Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  13. Vader, with the toe extension option shown, your wish might just come true. That would be some seriously kinky shit. Late at night, a bonfire burns on an empty airfield. A man dressed in a colourful yet restrictive nylon dress, a dildo strapped to every appendage. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  14. Talk to the bank and let them know about the travel. Having your credit card cancelled while away really sucks. make sure you have the international collect phone number for the card because even tho I inform them of my travels, they still cancel it on occasion. Look into the transaction and exchange fees, Ive been absolutely hammered by fees from cash withdrawls while over seas. Look into preloaded travel cards, can have less fees and better exchange rates. Try to take a few different cards as well as cash and keep them separate. I dont know how many stupid travellers ive met who have lost everything in one shot. This may not apply so much to Ireland but when Im travelling in less desirable parts of the world I never go out with more money in my pocket than I plan on spending that evening. Ive had my pockets cleaned out on a couple of occasions but luckily it was never for more than a few dollars, hell it was worth the few dollars to have the lady boy distract me by grabbing my crotch while her friend emptied my pocket Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

  21. In Australia the requirment is a C license, which you need to have 100 jumps to get. Compare the training requirments of the first 100 jumps between the APF and USPA and maybe you will see that an APF jumper with their C license is probably better off than a USPA jumper with an A and 100 jumps Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

  23. Yeah, but isn't there morning "situations" to rectify? righto, give me a half an hour after i get out of bed Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  24. I kind of agree with number 4 but that could be said about anyone, not just the woman. Give me a half hour of quiet in the morning while I wait for the brain to warm up. Also watching a girl get dressed makes me kind of sad, Im like 'awe, dont put the boobies away' i much prefer to watch them undress Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
