  1. I think in WI the only thing you can take a salvage title up to is "rebuilt". I don't think you can ever get it to a full fledged clean title again.
  2. Something here doesn't pass the smell test. Randomly pulled over and searched? Doubtful. In a state that has a city where the practice of "stop and frisk" is commonplace you can honestly say a random traffic stop sounds fishy?

I'm not talking about the actual 9/11 reporting, I said the after reporting on the "terrorist threat level" and such alarmist things to monger your fear and make things seem worse than they really are. On a daily basis they were reporting on all the big scary things in the world, all the big scary people plotting against us and why we needed to give in to things such as warrantless wiretapping and warrantless searches. Why we needed to accept indefinite detentions and why we should be comfortable with violating the gist of our constitution and due process. Why the country should get comfortable with things such as water board torture and locking away "enemy combatants" in a US held military base with no charges and no due process, all in the nature of "making our country safer"...after all safety is what you want right, safety at any cost right? Now instead of safety against the "terrorists" it's "for the children".

So seeing though the media is quite obviously trying to tie into our natural recency learning method by reporting every mundane shooting in the united states now, things that typically go unreported or are relegated to the back page. I'm sure they are going to do likewise with all other preventable and unfortunate deaths every day throughout the country right? I'm sure there is no agenda behind reporting every single story from every corner of the country they can find huh? I wanna see front page the daily report on every deadly car accident, drunk driving fatality. Let's make big front page news out of every skydiving accident or fatality. You know as well as I do the media is attempting to twist public perception by over reporting and over exposing. They did it after 9.11 with "terrorist threat levels" to con people into accepting the freedom losses in the patriot act an their doing today to try and get buy in to take away 2a.

  6. Wow did any of you really take the time to fully read up on this? The bill is one written to make it illegal for someone to force or try to coerce a victim to get an abortion. Such as if a women was in an incest situation if daddy forced her or attempted to coerce into an abortion to remove evidence of the attack he would face an additional charge. The intention of the law was not anything like you are stating. It's similar to a witness intimidation charge. But hey it's a good way to try and yet again sensationalize something beyond it's intent right?

  8. I`m pretty neutral on the gun debate but it amazes me that people are putting this much energy to save... assaults rifles. Define an "assault rifle" and what features make it so much more deadlier than any other rifle? I have a hard time with people just saying that the AR platform is nothing but an assault rifle. It is a modular sporting rifle that offers the most versatile and customizable platform available. It can easily be set up and tailored to be a competition gun, or fitted with a long bull barrel, bi-pod and other things to be an awesome varmint rifle. In it's short typical version I love carrying it on deer drives as a walker, it's size and lighter weight make it great for carrying through thick brush and undergrowth, making it easy to draw up and take a shot on a deer and it being a semi auto I don't have to drop my forehand to actuate an action to cycle another round, making a follow up shot quick, quiet and movement free. It's pistol grip is nothing but a product of the configuration of the buffer spring and the architecture of the gun. There is no other type of grip possible for it to have. It has an adjustable stock so that I can fire it and then hand it to my 5 foot tall fiance and she can adjust the stock to her size and fire it. What does that have to do with the "lethality" of the rifle? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! You wanna know what the most deadly arm is that most of these retards can't figure out? a 12 ga with 00 buckshot. Nine projectiles coming out of the gun that are all larger than the .223/5.56 bullet of a ar-15. So keep that in mind when you hear some dumb ass talking about "protecting the rights of bird hunters" and see images of supposed "pro-2a" politicians walking around with their rich buddies on some caged bird farm doing some "hunting".

I dunno a ragtag bunch of middle easterners have done a hell of a job of binding down major world military forces several times throughout the last several decades with much less weaponry than the citizens of the US have on hand. In Wisconsin alone on opening day of the deer hunt there were 600,000 guns in the woods. This composes the fifth largest army in the world represented by one state alone. I think the most ironic part of that angle is how "dangerous" the anti's claim guns are...yet here were 600,000 in one state alone being on the ready to fire and only one death during the 9 day season was the result of an accidental/purposeful fatal shooting.

Like that Ryan stated he voted against the funding for nothing more than because it also had a ton of pork barrel earmarks in it for things completely unrelated to Sandy? We are in a fiscal crisis and our legislators still can't seem to figure out that we need to quit adding on dumb ass earmarks to every bill that crosses the floor. What do people not get about that fact that this country is broke for the next several generations? People like you would rather try to grandstand and sensationalize and force things through with emotion rather than logic. None of these guys voted "no" because they didn't believe that people deserved help, most have stated it was due to other crap shlepped in with it that didn't need to be there that we can't afford.
  12. I agree, time for the govt to stop involving itself in manipulating markets and deciding who the winners and losers are in what should be free market capitalism. Not too fair that us lactose intolerant folks get to sponsor subsidies through our taxes to make milk cheaper for everyone and farmers rich. The whole farm subsidy thing has always been a racket. The goct got into the business of buying food it didn't need to keep farmers afloat who should have rightly took the loss in the market. What to do with all this "food"? Start a school lunch program and give it away. Not we have more subsidies.....and school breakfast programs as well.

  14. I love the "10 round mag" magical number. Columbine took place during the previous "assault weapons ban" It was committed with ten round mags taped together. It was also committed with a normal ol' 12 gauge shot gun. Arguably the most widely used hunting arm in existence used for everything from bird hunting to deer hunting. Any exception you leave will be exploided by those who would do harm. The most natorious mass killing in our history took place with the force of box cutters. Calling a modular rifle that happens to be one of the best sporting rifles ever used for hunting an "assualt weapon" or "military" weapon is a joke. It's akin to calling my truck in the driveway a "military style truck" because I have four wheel drive, a two way radio, partial roll cage, winch, tow hooks, gun rack,flood lights, and mudding tires.
  15. Are you serious? Do some friggin research and quit being uneducated knee jerkers.The NRA runs the most accredited and complete training programs in the world. Many for free to those willing and wanting. Everything from law enforcement agencies to military groups partake in NRA training. Many agencies adopt NRA standards for their own training and have training officers who are also NRA accredited trainers. The NRA is the only group in this nation offering gun training tailored to youngsters, including training that teaches them what to do if a fellow youngster produces a firearm to play with unsafely without adult guidance. Much of the money from members is used to enrich, develop, and give training in safe use of firearms. You all could read pleanty of information on NRA sponsored training if you actually went to their site instead of making assumptions. A majority of the mailings I get from the NRA are training related and them pushing their members to be more and more trained in safety and use. Just because they rightfully don't believe in forced training doesn't mean they don't support and expect every gun owner to get it.
  16. hmmm....we guard judges, courthouses, airports, federal buildings, rail road yards, sporting events, power plants, movie stars, musicians, sports stars and politicians, ports, banks, prisoners, military bases no matter where in the US they may be, stock market trading floors, train stations, oil refineries, mines, precious metals/gems, and I'm sure many other mundane places I'm not thinking of, all with armed people. But yea you are right, it's a pretty crazy idea to consider including schools on that list.

That's $150,000,000,000 to eliminate the guns. $150 billion dollars. Can you cite one one serious elected official that wants to confiscate every privately owned firearm in the country? In all honesty, I think your cost estimates for complete confiscation were a bit on the high side, I think with UN help we could do it much cheaper. Ah yes a foreign entity coming on US soil to revoke and stomp on a right guaranteed by the US constitution at what I'm sure would be gunpoint behind shields and riot gear. How ironic that you see nothing wrong with that. You would likely have to send foreign forces, because I don't know one single person serving in uniform that would consider such orders lawful, nor would they feel they are upholding the constitution they swore to uphold. I'm sure that wouldn't fire up the civilian people for a civil war.

Some with guns, some with gas, some with knives Also of note, this latest tragety is not the most children ever murdered in school in the US Exactly. 1927 when a school board memeber set off three bombs in a school in Bath MI......or hows about the fella who used an insecticide sprayer as a flame thrower in a class in Cologne Germany 1964? What does taking guns away have to do with changing the psychological issues of wanting to wipe people out? Hell in Afghanistan they use IED's and in Africa the guerrilla's hack people up with machetes. We seem to be in this state of denial about the human psychological conditions and continually want to blame the objects around us. Are we just too afraid to admit that our society lets people through the cracks, or even possibly could drive other humans to do these types of things?
  20. Let's make one thing very clear that many of you have mis-stated and I believe may believe wrongly about that is a very serious and eggregious mis-understanding of our constitution. INALIANABLE rights mean those we are born with, they are natural rights, incapable of being alienated, surrendered, or transferred by any man over another. Endowed by their creator. Further the declaration states that these are "self evident", meaning that the basic human rights require no defense because their virtue is unquestionable. It further states "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed" meaning we the people are the only ones who have granted the govt the power to govern. I absolutely abhor seeing or hearing people say or imply that we were "given" these rights by a constitution, or worse yet we are "allowed" to have them by the govenrment. This type of thinking and speaking crates the impression that they can be revoked or altered. Sorry....pet peeve of mine.
