  1. Yeah the stow is on the rear portion of the slider in the middle. I leave my rig at the DZ, but i will get a picture this weekend and post it up. BASE 1384
  2. I'm not sure your looking in the right places then. Try a college bar or something. BASE 1384
  3. A lot of people do use something like that. I had my rigger attatch a small stow on the slider with a rubber band on it. When I am packing, I take a bite of the D Lines near the tail and stow them to the band on my slider. It helps keep the slider at the top of the lines longer, and also helps keep the lines in the center of the packjob when cocooning and putting the canopy in the bag. Edit to add: it has given me some very sweet openings. BASE 1384
  4. Wow, what a "reasonable" response to an argument... I thought that was the American way .... Throw money at a problem Nice! BASE 1384
  5. Why does that matter when choosing a rig? To the op, don't listen to this babbling retard. And always be wary of someone that ends a post with "blue skies!" More than likely they're a liberal-Birkenstock wearing-fag BASE 1384
  6. I wounder how many people on your list were so hopped up on drugs, their heart was about to explode anyway. Tasers are a great tool for law enforcement. More people get tased and live than people who get shot and live. If you get tased, most likely you were doing something really stupid. BASE 1384
  7. Give you feedback on what? BASE 1384
  8. Is there a difference between OC spray and regular pepper spray? BASE 1384
  9. But remember, they are very easy to enforce on dropzone.com BASE 1384
  10. well you apparently never went to that DZ, and never recieved their safety briefing. IIRC it stipulates "NO SPIRALING". No Spiraling? At All? You've got to be kidding. Avoid spiralling over the landing area. The quote I replied to said nothing about "over the landing area". It just said "NO SPIRALING". Obviously there is a big difference. BASE 1384
  11. Dean potter had some cool clips of him slacklining with just a BASE rig in the movie "The Sharp End". Then he lands in Moab in bare feet. Looks like a fun time, i would like to set one of those up someday. BASE 1384
  12. Yup. Shoulder dislocations really blow. The first one hurts like a motherfucker too. Your going to be out of the game for awhile. Take the time to do your PT and do stick to it. I cant remember time tables from my injury, but 10-16 weeks sounds about right. And remember, after all that rehab, a very high number of people re dislocate it in the future. (Happened to me). The second time was slightly less painful, and I actually put it back in myself right on the ski slope (using the method I saw my doctor do the first time). After the second injury they did the surgery on me. That whole process is a total bitch too. But haven't had any more dislocations since then (about 2 years). Good luck, hope you get to jump again this year. How did you do it? BASE 1384

  14. No, he probably would have tried harder to get the airplane right side up again. BASE 1384
  15. This is a good point. I wonder how many of those that have an AAD in case they are knocked out, have a reserve so small that the landing will kill them anyway. I imagine quite a bit. BASE 1384
  16. Where do you jump? Aside from the Cessna's (and I think you mean 182/206), almost every jump pilot I've flown with hasn't worn a rig. I have NEVER seen a Skyvan/Caravan/TwOtter/CASA/PAC pilot wear a rig. Not to say that it doesn't happen, but I am guessing it's a lot less common to have one, rather than not. You might want to send this video to them... just for the hell of it. In this airplane, the pilot is sitting very close to the door. In an otter, there would be no hope for a bailout. BASE 1384
  17. Tandems are different animals. Many times the Instructor is too busy to do the little things (although i appreciate it when they do). I understand that. I was referring to funjumpers. BASE 1384
  18. Correct. So before you give it to your packer, you should untwist them. Packers are paid to pack your rig, not maintain your gear. You want them to flex your 3 rings and clean your cables too? BASE 1384
  19. yeah that female lead was pretty bad. And it seems like her character was the exact same type of off the wall investigator that Willem Dafoe played in the first one. LAME. Listening to her talk was part of the reason why i turned it off! (plus we had jumping to do) BASE 1384
  20. When I read this thread, I think job security. (Fed Ex freight employee) Purple promise baby! BASE 1384
