Student retention is definitely down..... I don't know if it is the economy or if there are other issues that are there. For the students Doc and I try to talk with them and get them excited about jumping....doc can do coach jumps but I don't have my rating as of yet. Once they get their A I jump with everybody. I try to include everyone in drill dives that I have learned so that they can increase their skill set. For jumpers coming to visit or who are new to our dz we try to bring them into the fold. we are a pretty small dz so we all kind of hang out together anyway. lots of bonfires to hang around and chat and drink lots of beverages of choice. sorry i have missed so much during the summer...our summer has been totally hammered. i am hoping that now that the house is done and we are moving this weekend that things will settle down. i really miss the games and playing with you all as does doc. we will catch up to you all soon. well...we were at prairie-:28: more than i can recall first madjohn jump first 19 way first cross country at LP (done several at the ritz) hit my 400th jump first jump out of a bell helicopter just to name a few. it was a fabulous week and so great to see NWflyer, Monkeycndo, skootz, vader (yes his mohawk is really that impressive) and the rest of the dz.commers who were there. He is doing fine - he is a close friend of mine; doc and i checked on him through the night. I appreciate both John and the other jumper who realized that he was in trouble and taking action. It could have been a very ugly ending to a great boogie.
