  1. I have to sing the praises of Ambien. That's some miracle shit. You feel it in 15 minutes (as long as you don't have the CR kind). You'll have the best sleep you've ever had ever in your life ever ever. Then you wake up and feel sooo awesome you have to fight the urge to do cartwheels and actually get yourself to work. THEN, if you're bored one day, take one a little in advance. Instead of 8 hours before you get up, take it 10 hours before you get up and stay up for the 2 hours. You get really loopy and fun with the normal dose. Cool shite! Ambien helps to get you back into a normal cycle. If you get crap sleep one night, you may sleep terrible the next night from the anxiety and over exhaustedness. 1-2 ambien=great sleep=back on great sleep cycle without needing it. Just ask for it and if you don't like it, don't take it anymore (and send it to me

  5. I guess I should have thought of that one sooner. By the looks of things, it's set. It does look kind of cool to have all these inky spotty patterns all over the inside of my dryer though. Like an ink tiger camouflaged by my inky clothes... What do you mean by magic eraser though? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  6. Alright, could use a little help here... Just pulled some laundry out of my dryer to find that a pen was in one of my pockets and exploded everywhere. A lot of white shirts/socks/boxers were in there that now have ink spots all over them How do I fix this? I washed them again regular and it didn't help. Any odd things to throw in with the wash that will fix it? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  7. Two of these shots were taken of me doing a tandem with a 15mm lens. It works really well with a .3 wide angle lens video. Unfortunately you can suffer in landing shots. You really have to be close. When the tandem lands if you are not real close then the pics will look very far away. Great for freeflying too. But not so good for taking pics of people when under canopy unless, again, you are VERY close. The others were basic freeflying shots I've taken with it. Sorry for the contamination on a few of them, I've fixed it. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  8. Is there a chance we can change the VA location a little more South to: Suffolk Executive Airport 1200 Gene Bolton Dr. Suffolk Va. 23434 It would be a very good home to a keg of Sam's Octoberfest. We would take very good care of it we promise. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  9. I was getting all those same error messages on my PC1000 after 2 years of jumping it. I sent it off to Precision who charged me almost $400 and 3 weeks to fix it after originally quoting me $300 and 3 days. I've been seeing a lot of people starting to jump those HD cameras. Apparently you can get them for about $850. Maybe you should go HD and new. You'll get a warranty for a while and upgrade your video quality. If it did break I imagine it would be cheaper and quicker to fix because it is not a model (like the PCs) that are out of production. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  10. PAC 750 all the way, over anything else. It really is a much better plane than a super otter. From a freefliers perspective, how frequently are you doing jumps of more than 15 people? Not often. The PAC climbs faster than an otter. Jump Tickets! Otter tickets are going for $23 or $24 all over the place. I usually average about $16-$17 for a ticket in the PAC. Being in a smaller freeflying out of an otter sucks. 20 people leave before you and your spot is shit. Then there's 20 something other canopies all flying around and there is always at least one guy out to kill you. The only credit I can give the otter over the PAC (other than the rare occasion you're freeflying with more than 15) is for tandems. It's easier with the big door to launch out a tandem however you'd like. PACs are the new way. Get over it and say goodbye to your otter. Get a PAC! Cheap tickets and get there faster. Less people trying to kill you under canopy. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  11. We've got video of a dude who was trying to learn to sitfly (you know, the silly flopping backflipping kind) without a jumpsuit. Clearly on video a little black object flies out of his back pocket, up, up, and away. On the ground we plugged the video into the TV in front of everyone and played it slomo forward and backwards. Look everyone! It's jumping out of the pocket... oh, oh, now it's going back IN the pocket! And hey look! It's coming back out again! And hey look again, back IN the pocket! Dude was not happy, at all. Hehe 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  12. I did my first ever night jump at Duanesburg years ago. Don't forget the big lake next to the landing area. That's all I thought about that night before getting out. How is Killer doing anyway? Still crazy? BTW I lost my old DSC t-shirt last year. It was one of my favorite shirts. Will somebody hook me up with one? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  13. Will Lajeunesse has committed to coming out and organizing for the event. As far as Jimmy I'm not 100% sure. Are you coming out to set the state HD record with us? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  14. Hey Mitch, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a DZ with cheaper jump tickets then Skydive Suffolk in Va. Our costs are (and listen carefully) $20 for the first 5 jumps of the day, THEN $12 for every subsequent jump of the day. If you do 10 jumps in one day, it will cost you $160 (or $16 per jump). We fly a PAC 750 that will get you to 14k in 9-10 minutes and can fly it with 7 jumpers, turn around with 5. Let me know if you need a place to crash when you come visit, -Simon 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  15. For everyone within tolerable driving distance to Skydive Suffolk in Virginia, we'll officially be hosting a Crosskeys invasion. There is a lot of cool shite planned for this so more updates will come as they are %100 confirmed. The dates for this will be the first weekend of November (Nov 3/4) We will have some freefly organizing by CK1 and hope to set the Va state head down formation record. Interested? Questions? Comments? Throw the out there. Updates will be coming 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  16. Sometimes the manifester can mention the H/W proportional thing and the general reluctance of an instructor to take them... but mention there are a few instructors who would for a couple of extra bucks on the side. Not my deal, I just don't take them. I'm a smaller built guy and I'm usually ridiculously out of breath after coming down from a fat one. For harness fitting, we use the triple tightening method. Tighten them to an uncomfortable squeeze a little earlier than usual, then go let them walk around and chat with friends and family. Come by some time later and do it again. This allowed some of their bodily waters to displace from the harness tightened areas and allow to you make it even tighter. Then just before you get in the plane, give them a third extra tightening. Works like a charm. Sucks for them, but they're fat anyway so who cares 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  17. Hey IPC, Way sorry to hear about your loss. I swear if any jerk off comes to my DZ with your gear I'll cut off his balls and boil them in motor oil. Thanks a lot for letting me jump with you guys despite my "situation" this past June/July. Oh and thanks for all those pints in town. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  18. Jeebis! That is some sick flying. Speechless. On the round 3, for all those out there who say that belly flying is not freeflying... you should go have a chat with Anomaly. Absolutely sick. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  19. My PC1000 is off at Precision getting repaired and won't be back by tomorrow as previously quoted. We have "high priority" clientel coming out for a tandem tomorrow I'm supposed to shoot video/stills for. I jump a Rawa helmet fit up for a PC1000. After calling around, the only camera I can get ahold of at this point is a PC10. Will this fit in my Rawa? I checked out the specs, it seems close. Can anybody help with this one? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  20. This is the C-Span video of the bill. This could affect dropzones and skydivers across the country. http://youtube.com/watch?v=SMQ021IuR0Q 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  21. Didn't say it was ethical. But it would be clever, ya gotta admit. Sneaky sneaky EG suits with their beady little shifty eyes. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  22. Maybe we could give EG some safety and marketing credit here. What if this "tandem wingsuit" is really not intended to do anything performance or flight wise? Maybe it's intended to get an extra $100 from the student. If the suit costs $1200, you'd make your money back in 12 jumps. Seriously, maybe this is just a clever marketing money scheme and not actually intended to attempt a real tandem wingsuit flight. If the student offered you an exta $100 to put on a cheesy "wingsuit" that didn't realy do more than look cool, would you? --Simon 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  23. I guess I've just been messed up, but I had always thought that a "joker" was a docked rotation on the roll axis. So I guess the said maneuver would be a reverse half eagle if it were not arm docked? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  24. Hey all, I figured a post other than "help me with my sitfly and what to wear" would be a fresh breath of air. At my new dropzone there is not much for advanced freeflying talent so I end up having to do a lot of coaching for free just to have others to fly with. A few are getting proficient on their heads now and I've been taking them up to do things like eagles, carves, jokers, etc. While watching the Trace 101 video a friend and I noticed a hand docked reverse half eagle (sitter goes under, headdowner goes over) and was wondering what some good techniques were to pull this one off as I have never tried it before. Who initiates? Tips? Advice? I'd like to pull this one off this coming weekend. If anyone has a good link to other advanced maneuvers we can try throw it out there. Thanks, --Simon 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
