  1. Ahhh, the good 'ole days when my sac just stuck to one leg at a time
  2. I think we're square, but I'll buy the first round if we cross paths
  3. No, it's an inevitability. FF are a finite resource. I'm not claiming that their end is in sight as of today, but at some point we're gonna run out of old dinosaur blood and it'd be best to have an alternative in place before that happens...as a skydiver, you should appreciate the importance of having a 'Plan B'. Even if you want to put your head in the sand about the realities of climate change, which you obviously do, I don't know what you think you're proving by getting all giddy about burning more coal rather than shoring up our long-term energy security. I know what I think you're proving, but if I said so I might get a time out.
  4. Don't most ~2000-year-old religions just boil down to a set of rules that were put in place to have a somewhat functioning society once relative strangers started living together in communities? If you wanna keep the people in line and stop chaos in the streets, tell them that killing your neighbor is bad, because if you do God is going to send you to be tortured for eternity! I like to think that rule was implemented the day after somebody killed the only guy in town who knew how to start a fire.
  5. Correct, he's ignored a lot!
  6. hold my purse, I'll show you how manly I am!
  7. The real sacrifice on this one was mine....traffic getting home Wednesday was horrendeous! https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/fort-worth-driver-shot-apparent-victim-of-road-rage-on-i-35w/3293911/

    Q

I’d suspect that the fallout of that Venn diagram would have a lot to do with disposal income.
  9. I think it would have been physically impossible for you to do a better job of proving the point Doug was trying to make above than what you did with this post. I'm sure you saw it on CNN first, though.
  10. I really agree with pretty much everything you're saying, but I wonder about the point you're making above...the idea of "social contagion" where Facebook is churning out trans people is pure BS of course, but I think social media has had a big impact in allowing trans people to spread their stories and that's been at least part of an increase of awareness/acceptance. For the X% of people who have been trans since long before we were using that word for it, this is just reducing the stigma for them to lead their lives as their true selves and that's nothing but a good thing. Where I wonder if there's anything to the 'alleged uptick', is the idea that for kids who are growing up and trying to figure out who they are, they're likely to try on many hats in that search. These days, now that this is a more acceptable option on the menu, so to speak, will it lead to at least a perceived uptick of people experimenting with living life as trans while trying to figure themselves out? I have no evidence of that happening and maybe I'm way off base, it's just what I'd assume is happening on at least some level.
  11. Because the relevant bit of the law has to do with what Joe posts on dz.co.....not worth the energy. I'm sure as fuck not lazy, maybe a bit sleepy and I did have a beer with dinner. Either way, arguing with you on the Interwebs makes about as much sense as trying to teach my cat to play piano.
  12. So we've arrived at 'Go Back Where You Came From'. Happy 4th of July, 'Murica!
  13. Do you have a fucking clue what a 'protected group' is? I know you're not that dumb so I got's to assume you're just straight up trolling. Or is it just wishful thinking on your part that nazis make that list?
  14. I answered your hypothetical about Imam's performing a gay wedding with a direct question...."All of them" is a bs response. A quick Googling would inform you that not all Imam's oppose same-sex weddings any more than all Priests/Pastors/Rabbis/Official Spaghetti-Monster Representatives do. Your answer of "All of them" is just another demonstration of ignorance.
  15. How many Imams you know who would refuse if asked?
  16. One is asking a business to provide the services the advertise to any perspective client. The other is bringing in raw materials that the business doesn't normally carry, and demanding that they process them because.....America? P.S. I'm no butcher, but I'm pretty sure that there are some differences between butchering pigs vs lamb...not that I expect you to appreciate details.
  17. It's a bit fucked up that it's totally fine if one applicant's got a leg-up in getting admitted purely because his great-great grandfather was alumni, but it's expressly prohibited to consider the fact that another applicant's great-great grandfather was explicitly not eligible to attend. Is that not the definition of tilting the playing field?
  18. If you're going to pretend to be too stupid to understand how anybody would take issue with these rulings, why the fuck do you think anybody's going to engage as if you're acting in good faith? Your go-to moves are to play dumb and then, if presented with a direct question, you point out a squirrel/deflection and hope people.....forget?
  19. No, the last time he posted this BS it was a white escapee from wokeism. This one is more powerful because the escapee is black.
  20. Are you saying you don't believe in Crist???
  21. His name is John Crist and he's a standup comedian doing a bit based on the Fox News depiction of Portland. Probably filmed in Oklahoma.
  22. Nice history, thanks for sharing. I was relatively late in the game getting into LED’s, but I love to play with them at any opportunity. Under my kitchen cabinets I’ve got some hi-power white LED’s run off of an LM3405 that’s PWM’d from a micro. The micro is triggered by a PIR sensor feeding some amplifiers that drive a comparator. Wave your hand under the cabinets, the comparator flags the micro and the lights ramp up. If it goes 5 minutes without a trigger on the PIR input and they fade out. Great for hands-free light control during food prep and it turns itself off when you walk away. It was a simple project and now 7 years later it’s still a super-useful part of our kitchen.
  23. TLDR: Winsor's still smarter than everybody else
