Another thing I forgot to ask - why don't more people jump with a pull-out system? Surely this would severly limit the chances of a p/c in tow? It would help with horseshoes as well. Don't pull low - unless you are !!

One of my friends has got a protrack and the s/w and he loves it. I think you can have several graphs on screen at once, and sync video etc. to it. I can't wait until I can afford it myself !! It works by a small LED onthe back of the protrack interfacing with a small box (like the helmet clip) which connects to a com port on the PC. Don't pull low - unless you are !!

I use a gecko now and I think they're fantasic helmets - they're comfortable and fit very well. The only thing I don't like is the audible port doesn't quite fit a pro track, but it will still hold it. Very good helmet. Don't pull low - unless you are !!

I used to wear contacts, but now I just settle with my glasses - never had a problem with either of them. As long as you wear goggles that'll fit nicely over the glasses, you'll be fine !! Don't pull low - unless you are !!

The new model of FXC - the Astra - is a lot better. It works on the same principles as a CyPReS and in my opinion is better because it's a lot easier to see if is switched on. Don't pull low - unless you are !!

Totally agree - ask someone who is VERY experienced in this matter at your dz. It's better to ask someone you know and can watch you under canopy to give you advice. It's always better to start off big, then downsize - you've got all of your skydiving career to get smaller canopies, whereas if you get too small too fast, you might not have that much time in the sport. As far as I understand thats about right. The aspect ratio also has something to do with the performance ie. the ratio of the width to the length. The higher the aspect ratio the better the performance. I think the Sabre had about 2.5:1, whereas the extreme canopies have more like 3.5:1. (Is that about right?) Live to pull and pull to live

I've got a gecko and if you plan to use an audible with it, i will have to be a time out (if you want it to fit in the port). I jump a pro track and have to have it in the left ear hole, but it's still very comfortable and it's a good helmet. Sew the chin strap up as well if you get one cos mine had a tendancy to come slightly loose in freefall causing the helmet to shake a bit. Don't pull low, unless you are [email protected]
