  1. If the toggle needs to be below the top of my shoulder, it's to the ''Oh S***'' pad and the ''Try Again'' handle. Don't pull low, unless you are
  2. I've seen a student cut away on end cell closure before ! They were given a nice little de-brief after that one, and left the sport a few jumps later. Don't pull low, unless you are
  3. Does anyone know where you can see videos (streaming or downloadable) of different mals online? Don't pull low, unless you are
  4. Next time you're bored in the plane going to altitude, remember some of these - http://www.afn.org/skydive/humor/jumpship.html Don't pull low, unless you are

  6. Just one or two then !! :-) There's planes there that I've only dreamed about jumping !! Don't pull low, unless you are
  7. There's a Javelin J-3 for sale which I'm considering buying - what does everybody think about them? Are they worth having? Don't pull low, unless you are
  8. All of a sudden a 89 sq ft canopy wouldn't seem so small !! Don't pull low, unless you are
  9. One of my friends almost got their feet caught in the lines on an S/L jump and that was from a step exit 182. There's a picture of it on the web site I helped to build at http://www.skydiveupsc.f2s.com/pages/images/photoes/exit03carl.jpg - it scared quite a few people. Don't pull low, unless you are
  10. What planes has everybody jumped? I've done a c182, a 206, a Cherokee 6, and an SMG turbo Finist. Don't pull low, unless you are
  11. There's a guy at my DZ and he has tried psycho packing his Sabre 170 a few times and he rekons it's quite good. Don't pull low, unless you are
  12. Too right. There's some crazy people on the roads now - last weekend we almost hit a car speeding down the road overtaking.
  13. Those shots are fantastic !! One of my friends is into photography, and he'd kill to get shots like those !!
  14. What's wrong with good old fashioned eye balls? Can't see the point in spending all that money on that peice of kit - it's a lot of jump tickets and it's just tempting fate !!!

    Yikes!

We jump a 182 at our DZ with no GPS, so you've got to spot. It's not as difficult as people say it is - I've only watched people spot for me, but I've guessed when the cut should be correctly all the time.

    Yikes!

Who wouldn't want to jump all that state of the art equipment? Round canopies, front mounted reserves - skydiving doesn't get much better !!!
  17. Now I'm jealous !! We've only got a c182 at our dz (4 people to 10000' in about 30 mins)
  18. I think you can buy them from Thomas Sports Equipment as well (you can design them to match your own rig)
  19. I know the FXC has quite a wide firing range - I just think it's dodgy that it should fire that high when it's set at 1000'.
  20. My friends have mentioned that they know someone who's actually spent a few months just packing at their DZ, and they paid for their AFF like that. Ask the guys at your DZ, they might be ok with it.
  21. We had an experienced guy at my DZ jumping student kit cos his reserve nedded a repack, and he pulled at 2500' and the FXC fired at about 2000' even when he'd just got a good canopy above his head. Dodgy.
  22. I'm going to do my Cat 8 dive soon (RAPS) and I was wondering if anyone has done anything stupid / funny on theirs
