  1. Hey man. Had a great time this weekend, even though it was cold. OK, not H-n-P's @ 42 below, but still cold. Glad we got to meet you and look forward to seeing you there again. I'll keep in touch and let you know when we go next and maybe carpool. Appreciated the video and ff help. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  2. I can't believe it was too cold this weekend even for us avid winter jumpers. It was a good weekend to log some time on the new skis though! Was that on the ground? We jumped at Skydive Dallas and I heard altitude temps, with wind chill, from -31 to -73. I don't know about the accuracy in that, I just know it was cold up there. That didn't stop most of the KS Coalition from making 10 jumps. Felt kind of bad for the staff that could have gone home had it not been for us because the Texans were all whining about being too cold. Maybe that's the advantage of a turbine in your back yard. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  3. Buddy Ray(cat) is asleep on the bed next to Rolex(dog) George(cat) is standing in hall trying to figure out if it's safe to jump across Booger(dog, St. Bernard) to get into the bedroom. Barnes and Noble(both cats) are asleep on the weight bench in the basement. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  4. So why do all the threads on him get locked? It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.

    Dog Names

A friends son just named his new baby Camaro. I reckon you can guess what he drives. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.

    Dog Names

If I can't come up with a name that fits naturally, I name them after cities. I've had a German Shepard named Bangor(one of my best friends from college was from Bangor, Maine. Also had an Aussie Shepard named Joplin. But what do I know, I named my St. Bernard Booger because he had a bid white spot on the inside of his nose that looked like one. My 2 cents. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  7. Thanks. Been having trouble finding anything to hold my interest lately, even past favorite authors. Need something to laugh at. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  8. Do they need to be read in order or can you just jump in anywhere? It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  9. Remember the original Happy Chef. Well, he has a new gig. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  10. Bombay Sapphire It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  11. Finally tired of getting ever increasing snow removal bills I stopped at the local Sears last week. Picked up a Craftsman 9hp(Tecumseh), 28", 2 stage. Snowed 6" next day and had absolutely no problems removing it. I personally have never been one to shop all over town looking to save a few bucks and will admit I bought this entirely on a whim. But, I'm happy and it did the job. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  12. Just checked the radar. Our storm appears to be moving NW and quite a bit west of here. Unfortunately, yours looks stalled right over the top of you. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  13. I'm not complaining. If it never snows again I won't complain. I'll just consider it money well spent. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  14. Maybe it's because you've been on gyn rotation instead of peds. Haven't been coming in contact with all those nasty little bugs. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  15. The weather has totally sucked for jumping around here. Well, earlier this week I got an outrageous snow removal bill for my office lot. I get really po'd and go out and buy a monster snow thrower and then tell the guy that does my lot that I'll take care of it myself. We were supposed to get hammered again with snow but now the forecast has progressively been getting better and better. What was supposed to be 6-8" yesterday is now down to a maybe 1"-er. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  16. Get off my slacker but and do my night jumps. Get better at ff. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.

    Implants

I figured that had to be a rhetorical question. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.

    Scrotum

Of course the next question is, "did you learn anything?"

    Scrotum

Evidently it has healed, ah? It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  20. When I was s student I asked one of my instructors how many jumps it takes to get over being really nervous. He told most likely never. When he misses 2-3 weeks the first jump of the weekend is usually nervy again. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  21. 11-17-07. Keeping planning trips to Skydive Dallas on Sundays according to the fucking weather prognosticators only to get fucked by Wednesday. Those Fuckers. Oh, sorry, that's a different thread. Let me check my logbook. Yep, it was 11-17-07. The wifes was 10-28-07, about the longest for her since she got her license, so, you can imagine the hell I've been living in. But, I digress. Again, another thread. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.

    Ice Storm

MAPLE TREE 1 - NEIGHBORS FENCE 0 OOOooo, I'll bring my chainsaw and and come and see you! Just got home for lunch. Drove across town to check it out. If you've every seen what tree tops look like after a tornado, that's what the entire town look like. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.

    Ice Storm

Well shit. I just heard a huge crash in the backyard. I'm almost afraid to go look. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
  24. A friend of mine was selling his 1978 HD Sportster and received a $10500 check, over night, for $6000 more than asking, and shipping instructions(you now the drill). The check was from Chicago and to be shipped to NJ. The check looked very real but the bank could tell it wasn't valid by the number sequence. He e-mailed the back and told him to "fuck-off"(I believe that is correct spelling). These dickheads seem willing to spend the money on postage so maybe if everybody just let them send there worthless paper and get no response back they would eventually quit. Nah, probably just wishful thinking. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
