Whenever I read this I remembered the Seinfeld episode when Uncle Leo stole from a bookstore, Jerry tells someone at the store in the hopes that they can scare him straight. Instead of doing this, they swarm and Uncle Leo goes to jail and reinacts the scenes of Capefear as he works out in prison as if waiting for his revenge. I have to say that made me laugh again. Your father is a great actor.

Just remember Eloy is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the summer though. There is not much going through the dz except tumbleweeds on those days.

I packed one where the bridle wrapped around the drogue so it would not inflate. The cameraman was in a stand and actually had some good video of it. He got out of the way and the tandem deployed around 8k. The TM said it was the hardest opening he ever had in his life. After packing thousands of drogues the same way it only happened once. Sh?t happens.

I have seen a few tandem reserve rides. For the most part they were from tension knots. After ensuring we were walking the lines up again after we laid the canopies on the ground that cut the rides in half. Although sometimes stuff happens. I know a girl in Florida who had a reserve ride on her first jump. She went through AFF with me and is now a tandem master.

Unfortunately the swooping did not air but the accident in Sarasota did. Just goes to show that most people are more interested in the incidents of our sport rather than actual "sport" itself.

There are a lot of celebrities that are "accomplished" skydivers. Most of them have "accomplished" to do a tandem or maybe even a AFF. Tom jumped back in the Days of Thunder days. He and Nicole Kidman went to Deland to jump and she did a tandem. He jumped. He even brought a caterer out for the whole dz. Although he possibly may be jumping now it's pretty much a given that if he went to a dz nowadays everyone would probably know about it. I guess he can afford his own jump plane and go wherever he wants to jump though.

And the Knights have had some changes on their team as well. Not having Chris Talbert on the team anymore probably made for some change in their performance. I believe two other positions on the team are new as well. I'm not saying they won't be the same but I'm sure they will have some kinks to work out.
