  1. So I guess I have to get both then
  2. Numbers? The C# is I like flying and I'm comfortable in the suit. If you're not comfortable then don't do it. @BillK. How's it going? I bet you're flying better than me these days. I might bemoving back to GA in 12-18 months, just in time for King Air glory. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  3. When I get back to the US I won't have jumped for 8-10 months.... my first jump back is going be a WS solo. I'm not injured or anything though, I'm just talking a small vacation If you're putting one back on it's all about what you're comfortable with. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  4. I had less than the 200, and it showed on my first flight. If you ABSOLUTELY CAN'T WAIT get a small suit and find someone experienced to coach and fly with you. Don't plan on just buying one and doing a solo. edit: Don't post about it. Get off the internet, ask around, or find a crazy russian with two suits This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  5. I've been here a month and I've only been to Temple. It's a great place and has some pretty fast 182s (and 30 min from my house) Is there a shortcut to SSM other than just shooting down I-35? I see that taking more than 2 hours with Austin in the way. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  6. Hahahaha. Bill's got enough jumps to know better. Anyone decent at swooping tandems knows you start the spin above it so the tandem can watch you spin past. And yeah, you use your arm wing cutaways to get out of the flat spin. Then you can pull low in a half flight/half track right over the DZ. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  7. I'm 6'7" and about 210 w/o gear. If you believe what a neptune says, I've had a couple 205-215s flights in a prodigy (the old kind) exiting no higher than 14.5k and sitting in the saddle no lower than 2400' It was in my helmet the first time and I didn't believe it so i put it on my wrist, then again my ankle, and then on my mud flap ... if you believe what a neptune says This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  8. Yeah, wingsuit people get hours quickly (I've got 5 1/2 hours already and 250 jumps), but know I don't have the belly skills to get an AFFI, or even show up to the course.... 30 more minutes won't help either. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  9. I find that whether or not the student sees you has more to do with angle and speed than proximity People under canopy might see you coming head on (only if they're looking up, they know you're coming???), but they won't see much of your flight. You can fly by from behind much farther away and they'll see your whole path as you go by, turn away and open and think you're a bad ass bird too (edited for spelling) This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  10. steve, how'd you like it at sussex? I'll be around there in a monthish and I'm gonna go at least once. I'll bring a wingsuit or two if anyones wants to come play too This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  11. This weekend looks decent, you should bring out that wingsuit and we'll have four of us. You were right, marion can fly in that suit This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  12. New? I've put 60 jumps on it. I think that means I should get a new suit, right?
  13. Hell yeah man, go be with your kid. 4 of us would be kickass, that's enough of a formation for me to zoom through Marion can fly and I bet that new suit is amazing. I want a new suit, maybe the stealt... too bad I ordered a new rig . I bet he could kick my ass now too, I'm lazy and those three minute flights don't come easy anymore. 215s nearly gave me a hard pull last time too This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  14. Haha, I didn't notice at all. Maybe I should try a narrower lense, or get a little closer to you guys Pulling's easier after a full flight if you arch like an aff student, for me at least. I was gone the last two weeks, but I'll be back this weekend if it's decent out. Bring your camera cause now I've got enough jumps to do what I usually do, hehehe This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  15. Me too man, I'd buy that for sure. Do you have a high res? This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  16. I don't know about exercises and such cause I pull like a weak child in full flight with my 7' bridle. If your arms are tired you should take it easy on the rest of us, we're trying to keep up. I'll have to do wingsuit "PT" of my own to keep up soon. Boo Are your openings like they were before too? This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  17. Marion! You need to come down to thomaston, we even had some clouds last weekend. Bring bill and that awesome acro with you This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  18. There, I fixed it for ya I don't have enough jumps to say something amazing or useful but I wouldn't jump a wingsuit if I couldn't stand up my landings... nylon prom dresses aren't cheap This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  19. You going to be here after xmas at all? I'm coming up the 26th or the 27th with peter. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  20. I'm all about that. SHOW US THE GRAPH! This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  21. I've never flown that, but it looks awesome on video. Tracking suits are a blast, PF makes a awesome one and, if you can get a hold of it, the Airintruder (sp?) tracksuit will rock your socks off. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  22. I've got more than that, but I'm a lazy bastard. I started wingsuiting early though, and I take my licks for it, but that's a different story. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  23. I have the same problem... and flying 'em only makes it worse.... This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  24. Skydive Pegasus is about 40 minutes up I-44. It's a pretty nice place and they've got 2 182s at their own strip. I jumped there for a couple months when I was at Fort Sill. All the first time jumpers I saw there did static line. For tandems you'd have to go to OSC (public airport) or Skydive Dallas, about 3 hours away. What are you going to "The Best Post in the Army" for? Lawton has to be the classiest town in America... This isn't flying, its falling with style.
  25. Mike said 4 miles! We could make it back from 4 miles... turns out it was a little farther, and we flew away from the DZ instead. The cloud was awesome though and we didn't have to walk, at least not too far. This isn't flying, its falling with style.
