  1. Oh Sugarwater! Criminy! Fiddlesticks. Try them out. You have to find one that feels good coming off your tongue but you have to try it when you want to cuss. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  2. Work is to depressing to work on. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  3. No harm done. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  4. There is also Requip. My RLS is in my quads. It does feel better if I rub it, but then I can't fall asleep. The second I stop rubbing my quads it comes back. Low Iron can trigger RLS. I have had it really bad for about a week or so now (first started when I was about 20 though) and started taking my multi-vitamin again and it's a bit better. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  5. how can you steal something that was thrown away? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=3124132;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=50; She didn't even post in that thread so how is it relevant? ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  6. Crap crap crap! The parental-units are visiting; hard to fit in any exercise. I also gained over the weekend from the eating out. Crap crap crap! They actually expect to eat a full sit down dinner each night. They will realize we are disfunctional in that we don't sit and eat during the week together. I must walk more during work this week. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  7. We have a bowflex ultimate that we like very much. We got the extra weight and the leg extension. We can also row if you take out the bench. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  8. I got back to walking after being sick. Have to balance my time now that my kid has started track. I am hoping once I lose a bit more weight I will be able to try jogging again. I think it was the extra weight that had my knees so irritated. At WW this week I got my first 5 lb sticker so that is good news. I am trying to eat healthier. This week my parents are visiting though and they love eating out while here for all the food they can't get up in the midwest. It'll be hard but I have to do it. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  9. Yeah, cause NIU's website says nothing about any dead. MSNBC says up to 5 and CNN says 4. *sigh* ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  10. I'm there with ya... my son will be 12 next week. My husband always did say if we ever had a girl there would be dead teenage boys someday. So I suppose for the sake of our intact family it's good we just have the one boy. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  11. You'll love this. After Christmas 2 years ago (4th grade), my son's teacher took it upon herself to tell the class that they are all too old to believe in Santa. I picked up my son that day to hear him tell me this and ask me so innocently if she was telling the truth or not. I was so furious with her! Silence in the car. Then he asked me "So are you the Tooth Fairy too?" *shatter* Poor kid. It hit him all at once. Dumb teacher. Edited to add: And after I was so careful not to let him watch Gremlins (the girl makes a comment about there being no Santa). ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  12. My martial arts school teaches us that a good block can stop a fight just as easily as a good hit. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  13. Can I share too? Here are a couple I have of my rose bushes at our old place. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  14. I missed some work on Thursday and all of Friday. That cold knocked me on my butt hard. Now I'm just all stuffy in my sinuses. Hang in there, it gets better! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  15. I got nasty sick and have done nothing as far as exercise. Sick like I'm just exhausted and walking up the stairs winds me. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  16. Fear not. Judgment happens; live your life anyways. The only scenario someone should think you "not current enough" to consider your opinion would be in certain technical advice threads, and in those scenarios it WOULD be helpful to know how current you are if you're contributing in any way. And I don't post in there anyhow so I'm off to be brave and update my profile. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  17. I do not include all that in my profile for fear of being judged at not being a "real skydiver" or "not current enough" to value my opinion. I have 1 jump in the past 6 years because it just isn't in the cards right now. I miss it terribly and can't wait for the tides to turn when hubby and I can jump regularily again. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  18. As a skydiver, if I were to register here and it said I was required to be a skydiver, "how snooty" would be the first thing to cross my mind. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  19. I saw it by pure luck and my hubby walked in the door just as it was starting too. They did an awesome job! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  20. I first skiid as a 12 year old on a mountain. Then we moved up there and I did Wilmot and laughed my butt off. Moody: Didja get it??? ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  21. Ok. I took Glocosamine in the past but never noticed a difference. But I bought it at the grocery store most likely. Maybe I can check like GNC or something for a better blend? ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  22. Thanks for the welcome! I never hurt my knees either, but bad knees seem to run in the family so I might be doomed. We have a bow flex with the leg extension piece so I can start that soon too. My weigh-in is in 2 hours and I almost had a bagel! Old habits die hard (free in the lunchroom). ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
  23. If I may intrude.... We recently moved and before that my treadmill was in storage for 3 months. Phew! And my knees are worth crap lately so I'm starting slow with just some quick walking. I'm wearing a pedometer all day and am trying to get about 8500 steps a day. I want to increase that to 9000 next week and so forth. My work is doing a ww at work so today is my 2nd weigh in to see if I lost anything. I too would love to run... ok jog.... but my knees won't let me. I'm hoping they will recover when I lose some weight. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
