I have been jumping my HC5 in a cookie composites box mounted on a FTP withuot issue. The camera flyer from "Guano" wanted to demo the camera. Where did you see that? Childress racing owns the rights to that number. I never read anywhere that a number had been retired. Negative, Ghost Rider -- NASCAR retains the rights to assign numbers and has allowed RCR to keep the 3 w/o running it -- normally an owner must use the number within 2/3 years ore NASCAR will assign it to another owner. Brian France (or Mike Hleton -- don't 'member which) has let it be known that RCR must use it "soon" or lose the rights. Childress does own the copyrighted depiction of the number as used by DE and has defended its use in court. My understanding is when Big E died RCR made a deal with Nascar to continue to purchase the rights for #3 eventhough it was not running. As long as RCR pays for the assigned number it's theirs. In addition, do you think Teresa is receiving more than a few calls from the sponsors about pulling their contracts? Actually, when it comes to saves by the rigger, the alcohol of choice is usually a bottle of very good whiskey or brandy or something similar. I bought my rigger their bottle of choice when my reserve was packed for the first time three years ago(figured it was better to have a bottle on credit ). Two years later I needed silver and bought another bottle for saving my ass on my first chop. Also, are we going to start grounding the idiots that sashay down the center of the landing area with their giant "S" turns because thay can not properly perform a safe landing pattern? Also, are we going to ground the knucklehead that spirals down over the center of the landing area for whatever reason they decided to do it? What about the video flyer that cuts the patern to make sure he/she is able to film that tandem landing? I am with WMF hear, just ordered the HC7 via a family member and then all these posts started cropping up while I am waiting for delivery. My main questions are: 1) Is your HC7 plopped on top exposed to the elements without any protection? If so what are the results? 2) Is your camera plopped on top wearing a condom? If so what are the results? 3) Is your HC7 in a box and secured with padding? If so what are the results? Unfortunately for me my FTP has been reworked for the box from cookie for the HC7, the plus is the camera hasn't arrived so switching to an HC5 might be a better option.
