  1. Impressive... the worst part is that it really looks like a video game! Damn! Some destructive power it has! ~Chivo
  2. You're welcome. EDIT: Just read your previous post about going to Eloy. ~Chivo
  3. I've never flown from there, but I have a friend that does...frequently. That's why I did thought of it.
  4. The ketchup song - Aserejé! LOL! It brings a smile to my face! Also some salsa music, preferable Son By 4. ~Chivo
  5. Closest is LGB - Long Beach (18.4 miles), then SNA - Orange County (23.8 miles), LAX - Los Angeles International (27.2), and ONT - Ontario (27.6). ~Chivo
  6. I'm a fan of Asimov's foundation/robot series. What's the name of this book? ~Chivo
  7. In september I flew from CA to TX. I had my gear in a bag. After the bag went through the x-ray machine, the security guard came to me and asked... "How many jumps?"... Then he showed me his USPA card, the guy had a D license! I didn't have any problems getting the gear in the plane, but I was a bit scared when he stopped me. ~Chivo
  8. Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell is afraid I'll take over.... guess I'll stay here for a while! ~Chivo
  9. The nail that stands out... gets hammered! Make sure you don't stand out, and you'll be ok. ~Chivo
  10. A long time ago, a friend told me that luck is for mediocres, so instead of luck, I wish you success. ~Chivo
  11. After a rough landing, the pilot said through the speakers... "Sorry for that landing folks, but I must say it was not the pilot's fault, nor it was the plane's fault, it was the ass-fault!" Nice huh! ~Chivo
  12. IMHO, its hard to just stop a spin when you don't know what you're doing wrong (i.e. without video). It is usually easier to force the spin to one side, then stop and force the spin to the other side. Your body will remember how to force the spin to either side...thus, giving you the ability to counter the spin without really thinking about it. Oh, and by forcing the spin, I mean, force a slow steady spin. Don't get out of control... and if you do, just go back to belly, get stable, and try again. ~Chivo
  13. I heard this once... TM: "If at any moment you realize you don't want to jump, all you have to do is yell NO NO NO (three times)" Student: "Ok.." TM: "But since its gonna be very loud in the plane, all I'm gonna hear is GO GO GO, so we're going anyway!" ~Chivo
  14. I really like sushi and italian food, but find myself having lots of cravings . Right now, I would love to have a monster sized burrito from Freebirds! BTW does anybody know if there's a Freebirds here in the LA area? ~Chivo
  15. Jimmy Johns! Wow! I haven't heard of those in a long time! ~Chivo
  16. True, but then you are depending on the OS for that. A better (more standard) way is to call... clrscr(); I don't remember if its defined in conio.h or stdio.h, so you might need to... #include, but I'm not sure, its been a while.
  17. Damn! Really scary! I wonder who thought of that? ~Chivo

This is more funny than scary...at least it was funny for me. I heard an tandem instructor tell the student... "If you realize at any point that you don't want to jump, all you have to do is yell 'NO, NO, NO!' three times. But since its very loud in the plane, I'll probably hear 'GO, GO, GO!', so we're going anyway!" ~Chivo
