  1. They worked for my wife in '70's, and she was (dare I say) just as tall? as you Gia.
  2. Lucky man she is drop-dead purty. Love the accent, miss that here in Cali
  3. Happy B-Day Steve. Give the potty-mouth-midget a hug from me. Miss you guys.

    Open Caskets

As a child open caskets helped clarify death for me. As an adult I find the tradition somewhat creepy.
  8. When my 119 year old firm dissolved I didn't steal my three-hole-punch dammit. I loved the damn thing.
  9. Happy birthday Rosa. Love to you.
  10. Love you guys. It's been a long time since a thread this fun.
  11. People surf on the east coast? I thought you needed waves to surf. /Ducks, runs/
  12. Well, its really cold here in San Diego. Not being a a---hole 47 at night is really cold. 62 during the day sucks.

    Suicide...

I have a dear soul close to me that has struggled for four years to right the ship. It hasn't happened. I fear the worst. I have no more "good thoughts" nor buck-up bullshit to lay down. It's her choice, she is pushing us away, I think to make it easier for her if we are not too close. Sometimes all you can do is tell your loved ones to please hang on.

    Suicide...

Steve not to you in particular but to all responding to this thread. Listen to "Angel" by Sarah McLaclan. which was written in reponse to the suicide of someone I think - but am unsure - was a friend. This subject, as previously stated appears in this forum every six months or so. The comments seem less negative each time the subject is debated. It's hard not to share my personal experience, but I'll leave that to those who personally know the pain. Maybe those of us who have been around for awhile like myself, Jim and Lisa have seen, experienced and tried to help and eventually lost the friends and loved ones we tried so desperately to hold onto. Sorry for the downer post but as someone said above this sport seems to appeal to people with these issues. Watch out for your friends and loved ones and implore them to hang on.
  15. My age 50+, but I can tell you the potty mouth midget looks no older than 30, and LisaH looks no older than 35.
  16. I just wish that my angel will keep hanging in there. Sorry no tiddies.
  17. Tripping over parking lot logs and falling on my face at Elsinore. Hey it was very dark.

    Change.

JP, you know I respond to some your posts because you were my initial TI. But this time let me share something really interesting. My law firm, a 119 year old institution in San Fransisco, just decide to dissolve. You have nearly 9,000 skydives I have 12. I wish I could skydive like you. I wish I had an AFFI like you. I wish I didn't suck at skydiving. My skydives were the most exciting things I have ever done in my life. You contributed to that. You are 30ish I am 50ish the world you face is much brighter than mine, smile.
  19. Steve, my wife worked with Adria’s mother at the time of Adria’s accident. At the time I knew nothing about skydiving, and thought anyone who jumped out of an airplane was a fucking idiot. Although I didn’t know Adria, my wife had met her and after the accident told me, no, Adria was an intelligent, kind and sweet young woman who embraced life with passion. Long story short, I had to see why skydiving meant so much to her. So I did a tandem, got hooked and tried AFF. Unfortunately I sucked. The instructors at Perris never gave me the TUB speech, but they probably should have. So now, every year, I go to the drop zone on my birthday and make a tandem jump not only because I want to but for some reason I have to. Thank you Adria.
  20. I love my San Diego, been here since I was 7 years old. After living in Utah and D.C. for a while I am grateful to be home. I just moved back to Mission Beach (a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay) after living 5 miles inland. If I can get used to all the young women in skimpy bikinis I think I may grow to like it here at the beach.
  21. I think it says Tacoma, not Tundra.
  22. Typical of the Perris Valley parking lot where you can find a 2006 Ferrari parked next to a 1972 Plymouth Scamp. Yes, I actually saw the two next to one another. Or maybe it was a 2003 Maserati next to a 1976 pinto. The diversity of the skydiving community as personified by the parking lot.

    Divorve

Just keep getting married until you find the right guy. Or, date for the next 20 years until you find the next "right" guy. I smellith a troll.

    NE Blizzard

66 f and clear today, 70 f and clear tomorrow, why y'all live in the midwest escapes my understanding. But then again you do have "seasons". Apologies to the quotation mark (early forties German politicians).
  25. This thread has always been one one of my favorites on Dizzie.Com. Probably because I use the same hole punch daily working with documents and binders at work. Thread is now dead for another year.
