  1. That's cute. I also bought my dog a pair of antlers for christmas this year. ***Free bird Forever
  2. My truck is probably a 5. It is messy, but it could be alot worse. Mind you, most of the mess is hidden behind the seat or in the truck box. ***Free bird Forever
  3. I started packing my own gear when I purchased my own gear. I probably had about 20 something jumps. I also started packing student gear just recently, and sometimes even experienced jumpers rigs. ***Free bird Forever
  4. It's true, alot of people will never understand why someone would jump out of a perfectly good airplane. At first, I loved telling people about my skydiving, but lately only if people ask, then i'll talk about it. Mostly because it's always the same response. YOU'RE NUTS!!! I think skydiving is a sport just like any other. ***Free bird Forever
  5. Oh yeah, definitely the hottest, expecially as that character. ***Free bird Forever
  6. I stopped wearing makeup before I started skydiving, but as for clothes, I also don't wear girly stuff, but when I do for weddings and stuff, I enjoy it. It's a change from the ordinary. ***Free bird Forever

  9. It's true, when I was a student, I constently drove 3 hours to try to jump, but the weather did not agree most of the time. ***Free bird Forever
  10. On the off season I snowboard. However, if skydiving didn't take up so much of my summer, i'd probably do more rock climbing. ***Free bird Forever
  11. The DZ I started at took me more than 3 hours to get to every weekend. The DZ I jump at now only takes me a half hour at the most. ***Free bird Forever

    headdown

I would just like to say that while I was practicing this, I made shure b4 I went up that there would be no interference with other groups. Besides we're jumping out of the cesna right now and was usually the first one out, not to mention they were tracking dives away from the other groups, if any. ***Free bird Forever

    headdown

I am currently practicing my sit. I know it's important to learn that first. My main goal right now is getting my A liscence, but since it's getting colder, I don't have many opportunities to fly with a coach, so on these fun jumps I love to track and when I put myself somwhat headdown from this, the speed I felt was awesome, I couldn't get enough. So I tried it again and again. Your probably right though, I should practice my sit more. Thanks ***Free bird Forever

    headdown

The last couple of jumps I did, I focused on perfecting my tracking. I think I was sticking my butt out so much that I put myself into headdown. So then I tried it again and again. I couldn't really hold it but I had so much fun anyways. It felt like I was going so fast. Do you think this is good way to practice getting into headdown? I might also try arching while on my back to get headdown, do you think that will work? ***Free bird Forever
  15. Awesome videos. Keep them comming. I can't wait to go to bridge day. ***Free bird Forever
  16. A man walks into a bar, sets down a bag and takes out a tiny man and a tiny piano. Someone asks 'where did you get that'. So the man pulls out a monkey from the bag and explaines that it's a magic monkey, just make a wish. One guy makes a wish, all of the sudden 1000 ducks fly overhead. The guy says 'I didn't wish for 1000 ducks', the man replies 'I didn't wish for a 10 inch pianist either. ***Free bird Forever
  17. I think that standing up to your fears gives you something to look forward to. Gives you a good feeling, and lets you know that your the boss of you not the fear. You're right though, society runs on fear, everywhere you look, from the products you purchase to the news topics almost 100% of the time. Personally, I think that our fear driven society is only getting worse. I'm not affraid of alot, I think it gets in the way of living life to the fullest. ***Free bird Forever
  18. I'm shure the full face is great, but for now I think i'm going to stick with the goggles, i'm looking into getting a freefly helmet. I just have to remember to put my goggles on before exiting. ***Free bird Forever
  19. That might be why the air was hitting my face. I'm just learning how to sit fly so i'm not sitting back at all, I think i'm more upright. ***Free bird Forever
  20. I'm really supprised that you guys have no problem with visibility in sit. That was my first jump from altitude when I didn't wear my goggles but I had to transition back to belly a couple of times just to check my altimeter. I wonder why it's the other way around for you guys. ***Free bird Forever
  21. Don't get me wrong, I always give myself a gear check, sometimes twice if I don't get someone else to check. The chest strap seems to be a pretty common one, i've heard it enough. ***Free bird Forever
  22. Every time i'm in the plane I remove my helmet when were climbing up to altitude, it also reminds me to put my googles on before I put my helmet back on. So, the other day I was going to do a sitflying jump, was the first time I didn't take my helmet off. I ended up jumping without my googles, needless to say I couldn't really sitfly for that long, and I had to transition back to belly just to be able to read my altimeter. So, just a reminder, remember to wear your eyewear. ***Free bird Forever
  23. Gear checks are always good. Just a couple weeks ago, a skydiver climbed out before noticing his chest strap wasn't attached properly. He climbed back in before jumping, but how much closer can you get when your already outside the door. ***Free bird Forever
  24. I've never bungy jumped b4 but I don't really want to. Not because it's scarier, just because I don't think being suspended by my feet would be an enjoyable rush. Ofcourse i'll probably try it once, but nothing beats skydiving. Free bird Forever
