  1. I earn more than 73.4% of Americans? Dang!!!!! I do know that I earn more the the vast majority of those in the county I live in. An extremely high percentage of those in Lawrence County, MO do collect welfare and food stamps. That is their fault. They all vote republican and every office in the county is ran by republicans. The workers in the county continue to vote anti union and continue to earn minimum wage. The reason I don't work locally as I would never make more than $20k a year. I earn over $60k. Seems that I am paying the way for conservative freeloaders working low wage part time jobs while enjoying steak on my dime. What is funny is these idiots blame the unions and the democrats for their low wage while their employer pulls in big profits. They don't have any problems taking free hand outs on my dime but, complain about about anyone else who takes food stamps "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." 2. In the last week, I've driven from Louisiana, MO to Mt. Pleasant, TX. Gas prices have been near the same at all stations. They have been in the 2.79 to 2.99 range, with the exception of Phillip 66. They have remained above 3.00. I hope the price stays below 3.00. I'm heading to Dequincy, LA today to start a test on the Kansas City Southern RR on Monday. Being that my big GMC gets around 15 mpg, this is a relief. 3. Hey, while your under my truck, can ya kindly polish the inboard side of my wheels? I'll supply the polish if that will help ya out. Nice Wrangler. My first 4x4 was a 82 CJ7. I lifted it 3". Flipped in going to fast around a curve "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  4. I bought the truck from my brother. It was wrecked at the time. Still is, to some extent. It was hit by an S-10, about 4 years ago. The insurance company totaled it as it would had cost in excess of $5000.00 to repair at a shop. They paid him $9800.00 for the truck and another $2000.00 towards another vehicle. he bought it back and sold it to me. I drove it for a couple of years before getting new tins. I still need to lift the cab and re-align it with the frame. The grille trim came with the insert. Logo was extra. I do plan to put the billet grille back in come spring so as not to have anything indicating whether it is a GMC or a Chevrolet. My other truck is a 1983 Ford F100 stepside with a slightly built 1973 351c 2v. I'll will be putting a set of built Aussie 2v heads on in a few months. My 80 SS El camino is in the background. 5. i love Jeeps!!!! They are so much fun to crush. They make such a funny sound when you roll over them. Much like people screaming. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  6. REALLY!!! WOW! So... Let me get this straight, when a child falls ill form, let's say... Leukemia, this is because that child is a sinner? Some years back, my cousins child died due to leukemia. He was two years old. Damn, your imaginary friend is one fucked up deity. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  7. I have been wanting to buy another Shovel since I parted out the last one in the late 80's. Been waiting on Randy to sell me his 68 since the late 80's. I was really surprised when he asked me if I still wanted her. Offered it up at 8k. A number only a fool would balk at. I'll never touch anything this nice again at such a great price. The old lady thinks it needs a bitch pad on the back. HA!!!! She must be EFFING INSANE if she thinks I am going to molest a museum quality bike so she can enjoy a ride on her. Hell, riding on Ol'Norton (my nickname is Norton) should be thrilling enough. Besides she made me put the pad back on the Fatboy so she can ride with me and not ride her own bike, a Yamaha V Star 650. Anyways, she can ride the Fatboy now. I was going to buy her a Sportster but, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, she wants something bigger to ride. I unzip and whip it out and state, as a matter of fact, that I am the biggest thing that she will ever ride. Laughing, without restraint and, wiping tears of utter joy from her cheeks as she lifts her ass from the floor, she tells that the Fatboy will do just fine. I think I am feeling the onslaught of a major complex coming on. Ah, fuck it, I have a 2001 GMC Sierra SLE on 37'' Super Swampers and a 9 inch lift. Switching to compensation mode. Feeling much more superior now. Mental catastrophe avoided. That's right, that's right, I am the man and it still sucks to be me on a 68 slab side shovel! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  8. Nice rides. Next bike for my collection has to be a Knuck. Keeping it between the white lines at breakneck speeds "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  9. AMF had H-D from 1969-81. 68 was the last great year for Harley. Thank you This thread is about motorcycles, not your sex life. Actually, that Fatboy looks a lot like my 05. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  10. These early Shovels are hard to kill. This engine was disassembled and rebuilt, as was the entire bike. Besides the head work and belt primary, the Linkert was swapped for an S&S. This will be my second Shovel. First being a 72 cone I built in 1985 and put on a 75 FLH frame. The majority of that bike went to Australia. Some guy from down under was shopping the US for parts to take to Australia. He was paying the right price for parts so, I stripped her. No problem, still have my Norton. Bought the 91 FLSTF soon after. This one is a keeper. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  11. It does suck to be me.... on a 68 slabside!!!! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  12. Bought my Bro's 68 Electra Glide. He restored this bike in 1988. Genny motor. Near 100% original, except for polished and ported heads and Primo belt drive/dry clutch. Comes with boxes of spare parts. Told him, years ago, if ya ever decide to sell her, call me. He did. Asked him how much? He says, $8000.00 (anyone who knows what they are looking at would easily pay 12-15000.) I wrote him a check and she is now mine! She is in Ogden, Utah at the moment. Going up to get her at the end of July. Last time I rode her was in 93. In the last pic, I am the guy on the left in front of the truck door. Love this bike. Bike collection: 72 Norton on a rigid (I built her in 83), 2005 FLSTFI (fucked up and sold my 91 FLSTF), 1972 Hodaka Super Rat (Dad bought me one in 1970 for my tenth birthday. I was hard to beat at the track.) Proud to have this beautiful lady in the collection! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  13. Hey, I resemble that remark, yuck, yuck, yuck! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

    Tattoos?

Been getting ink since 1979. Lyle Tuttle, Doc Webb, Col. Todd, Kenny the Vampire (Outlaw MC ink slinger), Robert Balter. Near 30 tattoos. Fingers, wrist, arms, back, chest, shoulders, leg. All have meaning. Will be getting more work done soon. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  15. I saw them in the early 70's. I know they did this song live. You can google youtube videos of live performances. RIP Alvin, may you and your 335 wail for eternity. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  16. Iran was an ally. Then they weren't. Iraq was an ally. Then they weren't. Now they are, for the time being. Same with Afghanistan. Doesn't make it right. But, hey if I need gas to get down the road, I don't give a damn where it came from. Besides, crude from around the globe are mixed at the refineries as oil is bought on the open market from a number of countries. Doesn't really matter where you get if from. 17. Wow, an argument about a god that does not exist that created a cure that does not exist. Fucking awesome! The baby is only functionally cured. The doctors themselves did not find a "cure." This happened on a fluke. There is still a small amount of HIV in the baby. The child has an undetectable viral load of less than 20. http://www.poz.com/articles/baby_cured_hiv_761_23584.shtml Promising, non the less. They have a great, raw sound. Unlike the manufactured stuff that on the air these days. Glad I have Sirius. Jam On! "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  19. I'm doing just great, Brother. Went back to work with my old job (Sperry Rail Service.) Got my old position back. Got married one year ago come April 29th. Got myself a small spread out in the country, between the horses and cows and, plenty of deer. But, alas, life has taken a small detour towards the black abyss. Spent the weekend at Chicagoland Skydiving and no one showed up to jump. I will return, however, as y'all know, ya can't keep a bag of hot air down unless, ya pop it on the ground. 20. That is something best done in person.. with those whom you are putting in a position to teach you and share the sky with you. ^^^^^^^^^^^^This^^^^^^^^^^^^^ AND FOR GAWDS SAKE..... don't buy any LITE anything... its just PISSWATER Buy what ever the fuck you want, do be terrorised by beer nazis Oh, that "lite" crap is fine for y'all down under. Ya know I wouldn't want the burden of heavy piss if i was so close to the bottom of nothing. Screw ya, I'm drinking the heavy hitter and sending it your way! How ya doing Squeak! Agreed. I asked them why he uploaded that file to the contest. It sounds like an iphone file. Again, its you tube audio of a live show but they did one way out Here's a link to the audio from the cd You can check them out on FB Dude, I am digging this.. "Devil's hand." At first, I thought, "OK, a cover of the American Werewolves "The Devils Hand." Very refreshing that it was not that. (although not bad when in a head banging mood.) Now, I am checking them out. Good stuff "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Got it done. Yup, they rock. However, youtube does them no justice but, one can hear, over the bad audio, that they do have the passion. Would love to hear them do "One way out." Hope to see a CD someday. I would buy it. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  24. I went to a Floyd concert back when I was in college. I'm told I had a very good time. I saw them in Madison in the early 90s (94?) Awesome show. I have the 1st Box set on CD. I listen to it every so often. But I prefer "Animals" or "Wish You Were Here" over DSM. Oddly, Ummagumma has always been my favorite album of theirs. It's the big gothic soundscapes they create. No one ever talks about Ummagumma, though, or plays anything off it on the radio. Uhhhh.... Careful with that axe, Eugene! I bought that album not long after I got Dark Side of the Moon.
