There is a lightroom 2 plugin that also allows one to import/catalog videos (including AVCHD) available... in the plugin database... (it's by the same developer that has produced the facebook and smugmug plugins. Scott Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...

one of my coworkers was playing with an iPad the other day... and showing me how on one of the "book" programs it looked just like he was turning the page of a book when you swiped your finger across the page... and I just kept thinking that I had things at home that were very similar... in the form of actual books... when I'm doing back to back tandems (and we have an editor) my workflow is to hand off the memory stick (video) and SD card (pictures) to an editor then go pack for the next load... or grab my backup rig and head to the plane with a spare set of digital media in the cameras. I couldn't get Lightroom 3 Beta to recognize the AVCHD (mts) files as video files... I do however have Vegas Pro... I didn't realize that the Vegas Media Manager was available... I'll have to install it an check it out... Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...

0:10:1 I successfully completed my Rigging Practical Test and am now a Senior Rigger - Back... we had an otter in town for the weekend at the dz... and it turned out to be the exact plane I learned out of a bit over 6 years ago... this weekend I did a variety of Camera flying jumps... will probably add a few pictures later... a few tandem videos, some RW videos... The most interesting jump of the weekend was the last one... it was planned as a 10 way speedstar (of sorts...) but at about 9000 feet on the plane ride up... I noticed something unpleasant near the door of the plane... It appeared as though quite a bit of fuel was spraying on the door and it was getting quite damp (with AVGAS)... This was the interaction that resulted at this point... Me: "Hey, Tell the pilot that there's a bunch of fuel comming back here..." Jumper near the front: "The pilot doesn't seem to care..." Me (starting to get a bit more upset): "Tell him it's a lot of fuel!! It looks like the gas cap isn't secured..." Jumper from the front: "How much fuel?" Me: "It's A F*CKIN $H*TLOAD of fuel!!!" needless to say we changed our dive plan and instead of me climbing out of the step and launching a 3-way base we had initially planned we decided to jump just jump out single file... since none of use wanted to stand in the spray of fuel... (for good reason...) other then that... it wasn't a bad weekend... I am sore as it's our first real weekend back into the fray... Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...

No actually, I've never played D&D (I did participate in the occasional RPG as a kid... but grew out of it...) and I didn't read a Harry Potter books until the 5th or 6th book... and frankly the writing isn't bad... so I don't see the problem... oh and for what it's worth I also have read a variety of other established literature... (I particularly like some classic american writers/poets, Emerson, Whitman, Dickinson, etc...) so please forgive me but if I understand you correctly... you find humor in the fact that someone might have a different idea of fun then you do... if you move the mouse in the browser window an advanced search link shows up to the right of the entry box... Yeah, I know; it's usually that way. But today that doesn't happen - at least not on my Firefox. p.s. - I think that fade-in feature is stupid as shit, too, BTW. I can't say anything for firefox at the moment as I am force fed IE at while at work... sorry to hear it isn't working... damn y'all are in a bad mood... Well, if it's poisonous . . . there's a reason. I don't know if it is or isn't. The "DANGER" on the container kind of implies it is. Sure, I agree that if it is a venomous it isn't particularly safe to have around... however unless I misunderstood his post... maxmadmax is the one who wrote "DANGER" on the container... Most of the snakes found in the US are completely harmeless (if it has a rattle, stay away)... and actually having a gopher snake, rat snake, garter snake in your yard/barn is very good for reducing the rodent and insect population... which is IMHO much worse then the snake popluation... because a mouse will get in my food... a snake will merely eat the mice (or other small rodents...) Bev Makes great camera suits... I have one that I really like... and have used for about 4 years... However, last spring I got away from an actual suit and have switched to a camera jacket/pants combination as I like to be able to remove the jacket between jumps in order to pack which is easier then removing an entire suit. Other then the media saying that Toyota hasn't given a "full account of what exactly is causing these issues" who is saying that Toyota isn't giving a full account (to the best of their knowledge...)? I don't need the media to tell me that something doesn't exist. If it exists, this full accounting as you say, then show it (post a link or doc). I didn't say Toyota was providing a full account of what is causing the SUA... just that one can't prove that Toyota isn't providing a full account of the problem.... just as someone can't prove that Toyota is hiding something... one can link article after article and it still proves neither arguement conclusively... Well, they considered it but also seemed to have rejected it fairly quickly. Whether that decision was based on a technical analysis or a cost/benefit analysis is an open question I'd say. So first they didn't consider it... then they did consider it but rejected it too quickly... How to you know they rejectd it too quickly? Are you an engineer for Toyota? Without actually being involved in the analysis of the problem and being part of the team that proposes the solution there is no certain way to know what was analyzed and to what level... everyone looking in from the outside is merely able to speculate the cause... The way I see it while Toyota was analyzing the problems associated with SUA (caused by the wrong floor mats installed in a SUV) they found something else in the mechanics of the pedal assembly that might under some circumstances cause the pedal to stick... and Toyota came up with a mechanical solution to the problem... Who's to say Toyota didn't consider the ECM as a possible cause of the the unintended acceleration? Just because the manufacture came to the conclusion that ECM isn't the cause doesn't mean they didn't consider it might be... Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
