There seems to be plenty of good reasons to not BASE with or without a helmet. Aside from persoanl choice has anyone come up with a good reason to jump off shit?? SabreDave

I've done about 25+ terminal on my MDV and the first few rattled my fillings! I roll the nose 4-5 times, I use two elastics (tan coloured ones only) on the slider (one on each side), small mesh slider and a 36 ZP AV with small mesh. Got them to a point where they are brisk but reasonable. I have never put the large hole slider on my rig and can't see ever using it at this point. I know things change and there may be a reason to someday but I have done 4-8 seconds with small mesh slider and the openings were great. Have fun! SabreDave

Vancouver by a country mile. I live 1,100 km's from Vancouver and drive out there 2-3 times a year. I used to live in Kingston Ont, I think it was 300-400 km's to Montreal....went once. Vancouver is more expensive but the outdoor lifestyle opportunities there are awesesome. Yes the media...... I graduated from a well known and respected photojournalism course here in Calgary. I worked for a newspaper for about 3 months. That is all it took for me to realize that today's journalism is total fucking garbage along with the huge majority of the journalists. I saw so much fabricated, word twisting utter bullshit it made me sick. It cost me about $20,000 all in for me to do that 2 years of school and I have walked away and feel pretty damn good about that. Selling my soul so some asshole shareholders can make a few bucks just seemed a little too expensive for my tastes. At least I can sleep easy knowing am not a pond-scum sucking "journalist". I have the extra loop on my left hand for reasons you stated. At the same time, if the velcro on the sleeve cuffs (Phoenix Jacket) is in good shape the excess "should" be secure. I have never tried a static system and I think that any benefit would be out done by the restriction in movement. Another thing, I found the bungee (I use about a 6mm thick one) makes some noticeable difference in the pants but I am not so sure about the jacket part!??! Maybe I just need some more flights.....
