Road trip to Michigan! I already have some dz's in the plan but I would like some info on the following. 1. Skydive Michigan! in Marshall. Listed with USPA. Does this place exist? Not much evidence of it on the interweb. 2. Parachutes LLC in Allegan. Same airfield as Skydive Allegan. Competitors? Legitimate dropzone? I'm all about getting new dropzones in my logbook. I was contacted by a newer jumper who is looking for a place to make his 100th. He wants to honor the traditions of the past by making the jump naked. His home DZ does not allow naked jumping. A dedicated young soul, he is willing to travel almost anywhere in these states to make the jump. MOST excellent idea. Lotsa room inside the space of a hackey. Additionally, how about a switch, so that the unit is off when the pilot chute is cocked? When the pilot chute is collapsed, the unit is on. As soon as you land you cock the pilot chute and turn it off. Could whatever antenna is needed be incorporated into the pilot chute itself?
