Let's not lose sight of this accomplishment! A 17-way is impressive. A 17-way where everyone is wearing an unfamiliar suit (birthday type) is even more so. The key word in this is "SANSFormation". I have no doubt that there have been larger naked formations (see above) but this is the largest one to the SANS criteria, basically each jumper has to be, or become a SANS member. The SANS is very loosely modeled after POPS. I'm sure the over 40 set made jumps together before POPS started recognizing them. On Friday, June 19, the phenomenal jumpers at Skydance Skydiving in Davis, California claimed the WORLD SANSFormation* record with a 17-way naked speed star out of a Skyvan! Do NOT let politics muck up your enjoyment of the sport. I've seen too many people leave the sport because of politics or personality clashes. There are quite a few Type A's in skydiving and occasionally the butting of heads will take place. People are convinced that their's is the only correct way. Remember, it's all about the skydive. In a quick search of deezeedotcee I found a few Excel logbooks. In 2003, chop chop started with jump places, canopies.xls. A discussion in 2006 gave us quickielog.xls from mnealtx, log.xls from JumpHog and scottbre submitted Generic - Logbook.xls. RMK created Skydive Log_Template.xls in 2010 and updated it last year to Magical Logbook Backup Spreadsheet.xlsx. I threw MegaLogDemo.xls into the mix a few years ago. I’ve improved it slightly to “MoreMegaLogDemo.xls” which is attached below. Did I miss any? I'm always on the lookout for additional ways to make my personal logbook, ExtraSuperDuperMegaLogPlus.xlsx, do my bidding. My last addition was a portion of a spreadsheet that tells me which calendar dates I have not jumped (1/17, 1/23, 2/4, 2/20, 12/16, and 12/25). I did not need this info, but it was fun to make the logbook figure it out. I'm not an Excel guru so I rely on others for good stuff to incorporate. A number of years ago, we had a young lady attempt a naked hop-n-pop. She was sitting on a bench very close to the door and neglected to disengage her single-point seat belt before exit. She made it out the door but not much further. She bounced around a bit before she was hauled back in the PAC. She received a knot on the head and rode the aircraft down. She did complete the jump another day. Side note: one of the people who hauled her back in the plane was a newer jump named Nick Batsch.
