  1. For decades the chief business of the United States government has been to wage war. In order to wage war it must have enemies. If there are no enemies, it must create them. Congress, on both sides of the aisle, has been bought to support this cycle. Term limits is our best hope to reclaim the Government.
  2. Ha! This is a point I made to Billvon years ago! "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy
  3. Wow! Congratulations! Jumping-wise I hit the accuracy cone a few times and had, as usual, a boat load of fun. Looking forward to next season. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy

  5. assuming that we only exist to support the constitutional republic as opposed to supporting the people that make up the constitutional republic. philosophical question, yes, but what is a country about if it is not about the people that are in it? Or do you put the ideology of a republic above the lives of the people in it? sounds kind of fucking creepy actually..... third Reich type of stuff... country above all else..... Defending the Constitution is supporting the People. The Constitution was written to place limits on the Government and to secure the inherent rights of the People. You have the cart before the horse. It should be quite obvious that The United States is no longer a Republic. Ben Franklin was right when he answered the question, "Dr. Franklin, what kind of government have you given us?" with "A republic, if you can keep it." The Republic is long gone. Any plumbers here?

The adoption of a "universal" plumbing code has created issues with many DIY sites and people pretending to be plumbers, as well as issues with many ignorant plumbers as well. If you don't understand why sealing the base of fixtures and the issues this creates, perhaps you should leave plumbing to those with licenses. Most of the issue comes from the definition of what is and isn't considered a joint, as in a pipe joint. Also since none of yo all can indicate the sanitary reasons and practical reasons as well as the FACT that no one has really mentioned why it is impotant to protect the trap seal. Well the only controversy is really laypeople discussing issues they don't fully understand in the first place, which is why most states require licensing in the first place. Despite the appearance that construction can be done by anyone. Indiana PC81063829, Master Plumber since 1984. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." 7. No worse than print media, radio and TV. People who do not think for themselves have always rolled with the tide. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy

    Any plumbers here?

Why is it controversial ? I've doing it for decades. I use clear silicone. It's invisible if done neatly. And damn near everything in any code is subject to interpretation. Any plumbers here?

Here in Indiana we use the International Plumbing Code. Section 405.5:"Joints formed where fixtures come in contact with walls or floors shall be sealed." 15. I have a Wings container with an RSL. If I have a pilot chute in tow I plan to cutaway and pull my reserve without disconnecting my RSL. Any potential problems with doing it that way? 16. Don't ever count on making more money or losing weight. Safire 3 is an excellent canopy, in my opinion. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy
  17. This is a strange statement to make considering the subject matter of the thread. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy
  18. The people who run the CIA are neither elected nor appointed. Most are probably not even on the government payroll. The CIA is an organization whose primary function is to lie in order to obtain information. Why, if it suited them, would they ever stop? Only one President has ever publicly rebuked the CIA--and he was shot in the head by someone. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy
  19. The greatest threat to mankind is the CIA. Accountable to no one, with a long history of selling drugs to fund itself, it has, from it's inception, lied to every President since Eisenhower in order to use the military might of the United States and its allies to promote its policies. These policies have nothing to do with America or its citizens and everything to do with a small group of un-elected officials who desire to rule the world and, to a very large extent, do. 20. Never jumped a Sabre 2. I have a Safire 3 169, exit weight about 200. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy
  21. Check out a Safire 3. Best opening and landing canopy I've ever had. I'm a conservative jumper and this suits me fine. Be prepared for 1000 ft openings, always on heading despite my crappy pack jobs. No wind landings are great! "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." 22. Love and respect those who push the outer edge of the performance envelope! Props to Red Bull, too. I wonder how many times they tried before they got it? 23. 1. Heal first, then, 2. skydive Sorry to hear that you've injured yourself and I wish you a speedy recovery. As a nurse I'm sure that you know that rushing rehab can set you back. Even if you can't jump for a while you can still hang out at the DZ and assist in some way. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." 24. Jump at Xenia. A word of caution, however--they'll ban you forever if they find out you're keeping a journal. WTF man, get over yourself! "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so." Charles Fort, commenting on the many contradictions of astronomy
  25. I have this problem all the time with my Wings, DOM 2005. Set the rig on the floor with the bottom of the container down. Grab the flap and pull it down HARD. Mine comes down another inch. Then, tuck it in. I have to do this every time I pack. Seems to stay put until I open. "Here's a good specimen of my own wisdom. Something is so, except when it isn't so."
