  1. Happy b-day Bev,....Have a great day!!
  2. F*&k this, ive also gone and ordered 2 lenses from royal and am of coarse having the same problem. I was charged for the lenses a few minutes after placing the order and have been emailing max/royal almost daily to no avail. No response. What a mission its going to be to somehow get the charges reversed.
  3. Thanks, I should have searched first. Lazy me.
  4. Has anyone ordered anything from www.royal-lens.com lately? I placed an order for two wide angle lenses last monday (8 January) and have heard nothing from them since, not a confirmation email, an expected shipping or delivery date, nothing! Im hoping they are still all on leave but id expect that by now the company should be up and running again? I wouldn't usually be too concerned but they have already charged me for the lenses. The amount for the lenses and shipping came off my credit card a few minutes after placing the order and since then I have heard nothing from them. Has anyone else ordered anything from them recently/ever?
  5. Awesome, I didn't know there was a trace 102. Where can it be bought? I cant find it on square1 or paragear
  6. Finally after 3 weeks of no jumping over the holidays our dz opened again!! Got in 8 jumps, all of which rocked!!
  7. Howabout offering to help out www.skydivingmovies.com? We haven't been able to upload new stuff in ages. Good cause id say
  8. Do you let it buffer completely or do you watch it while its streaming? I always let them buffer completely ie: pause the video and do something else till its finished then watch the whole thing in one go.
  9. Ive jumped 6 of the planes on your list and have voted for the Twin Otter as my favorite. Big plane, fast to altitude, big door, good run in speed. All round awesome jump ship!
  10. If you've got the money to do that amount of jumps in a relatively short period of time then all you need is a busy 7 day a week dropzone like Perris, Eloy etc. Sure having 2 rigs would help but is definitly not necessary. I was at Eloy in March and did 65 jumps and an hour of tunnel in two weeks without much effort. Ill be there in March 2007 again and am planning on doing 100 jumps in 2 weeks. So like I said, if you've got the cash and the right dz, its easy
  11. Ive heard some good things about Flitesuit. Anyone got any opinions on them? My team is thinking of getting suits from them soon. Ive seen some really good freeflyers and sponsored teams using them, so they seem quite good? Opinions?
  12. Come on PJ, you cant talk about cool pics and then not post any. You know the rules!
  13. I think the number of cutaways people are having in general has been getting less over the years due to improvements in the equipment. Now its generally a case of bad packing and/or bad body position on opening that causes malfunction. I have just over 650 jumps and 0 cutaways.
  14. Azureus Never had any problems and they update it often for bug fixes. Fast and stable,...at least in my experience.
  15. Ok, thanks. Why do you say its better to have two rigs during the week to get 8 jumps in? Do they stop jumping earlier during the week so we would have to get the jumps in quicker? No problem about no freefly school, but we would want to get quite a bit of coaching wherever we decide to go.
  16. Sorry, I dont want to hijack the thread but whats the weather like at Lodi in March? Is there a link to their website? Some friends and I went to Eloy this year and had a blast so next year we're planning on going back again. But now that I hear how good the freeflying is (and the jump prices) maybe we should go there instead. Is March busy enough there to do about 8 jumps every day? And get some freefly coaching?
  17. Just like the others have said, that initial huge adrenaline rush and the 'OMG that was so frieken amazing' thing will usually wear off over time. I think thats when a lot of people give up and are happy that they were once a skydiver, got the T-Shirt and have moved on to other things. But for those of us who stay beyond that point there are SO many cool aspects to this sport that something is bound to keep you excited about it. For me its the team aspect and seeing our jumps and flying ability improve over time. I get a kick out of planning a skydive with my team/friends and then going up and having the skills to do it. Im not sure how ill feel in a few thousand jumps from now but up to this point ive never thought about giving up and still think about skydiving every day during the week in anticipation of the weekend. Yes, this sport rules!!!!
  18. Pizza mostly. And sometimes McDonalds when im too drunk to care that I would normally never touch the stuff!!
  19. 0:0:0 I spent time at two different dz's this weekend. Crap weather at both of them
  20. My goals: - Get to 1000 jumps - Carry on learning to swoop. Enter the intermediate swoop comp at nationals next year. - Try to get people more excited about freeflying at my club. - Towards the end of next year start giving VRW a try. - Go to the states to get coaching and jump my ass off (already getting my VISA organised
  21. Yeah, they all know. I dont talk about it much because of the never ending stream of whuffo questions that ensue. But they do at least act interested which is cool. Ive introduced two of them to skydiving and both have completed AFF. 1 is now well on his way to getting his A licence.

I cant wait to see this. I loved the first 2!! I think they were both equally good in their own right and I hope the 3rd installment is the same. cool cool
  23. I emailed them about 2 months ago or so and they said sometime in the new year. I cant recall exactly but I think they said around March sometime. Correct me if im wrong...
  24. I agree! I have both the sitfly and backfly dvd and have only positive things to say about them. Its a great idea and is something that most of us have probably always been looking for but up untill now has never existed. This is apparently part of a series of 6 dvds that are going to be released which will cover more advanced aspects of freeflying as the series progresses. I will definitly be purchasing every dvd in the series. The combination of in air footage, tunnel footage and computer generated images is excellent. I cant wait till the next dvd is released.
  25. This weekend was great! I was skydiving from friday night till sunday night. 2 x night jumps on friday 4 jumps on saturday 4 x Huey chopper jumps on sunday including 2 awesome hybrids. Damn its hard to think about work after a weekend like that
