Everyone, I know I posted something similiar before, but I had an opportunity to talk to several people in LA and the OLN network. What I am looking for are ideas for a skydiving channel. Here is one that I have been contemplating. A channnel that features skydiving competition both here and overseas. Visiting different dropzones and interviewing jumpers to give the world a real sense of our community. This would help exposure for alot of DZs to help promote the sport. As a way to help with the ratings we could have a contest, where if they spot a certain object at the corner of their screen and be the next caller they win a tandem or AFF jump at their nearest DZ, or money, that always works. Nothing is set in stone, but I would like your ideas for a possible proposal. Just my 2euros of thought what are yours? zulu

I would like to die either saving the life of another, or fighting with my team in combat. I have always thought that dying in the arms the woman of your dreams would be the ultimate way to go, but the psychological impact that it would have on her, I could not bear. Ill stick with the first 2 zulu

I totally agree. I absolutely hate it when Im driving and someone in front of me is going slow and only to find out that they are to busy talking on the cell phone without the hands free system. Talk about road rage. There was a girl in our town 4 months ago that was killed because the driver behind her was on a cell phone and when it fell from his grasp he bent over to retrieve it in the front seat of his car. The light was red and he was clocking 40mph+ ran in the back of the car killing the child instantly and severly injuring the mother. Consideration of others is often ignored because we think that we have the right, to do what we want, when we want, how we want. That is usually the argument when those type of people are confronted. I was in Florida with a modeling agency when right in the middle of a video presentation a cell phone starts to ring. The lady just picked it up and started chatting away as if no one was around. Her daughter was so embarrassed she asked her mother to go outside, the mother refused. Another woman walks over and told the woman that she is needed for an interview for a fictious photo shoot. They left only to be shown the door and locked out of the presentation. I felt sorry for the daughter who had potential, and what could have been a successful career. There is a law in some states that prohibits the use of cell phones. You would think that North Carolina would be one of them since the incident recieved so much media attention..nope. In my country, if you are caught using a cell phone without the hands free system while driving you will be fine up 1000euros.

I absolutely love the way you think For years I have had on my license frame "Skydiving...better than sex" The looks I would get from people passing me by on the road, or breaking their necks to see who's the truck is funny. Skydiving is not just a sport with me. For reasons I do not know how to explain, skydiving has become theraputic, and a way for me to mentally decompress. The feeling I get from flying amongs natural creations, and feeling the whisper of the clouds as they seem to say hello when your speeding thru their atmospher is exillerating to say the least. In my mind and soul, SEX doesn't even compare to such a feeling. I cannot imagine my life without skydiving. If I could begin and end my day making a jump I would have truly reached happiness. zulu

My helmet is rigged with my tiny MP3 player. Since its a full face all I hear is crystal stereo tunes. Okay, Here is my 2cents. I AM FUCKING TIRED OF THE DZ DRAMA THAT IS FUCKING UP OUR GOOD TIMES!!! (Ladies please excuse my vulgarity, as I do not swear in the presence of women or kids.) I remember there was a time when, weekends were to just have fun, with your extend skydiving family. A time when your brothers and sisters would come together to pay for a jumper if they didnt have the money, or even let you crash at their DZ or place if you were traveling cross country. There were no DZ DRAMA to worry about. You deal with the shit 5 sometimes 6 days a week and when you arrive at the DZ, all you want to do is RELAX and HAVE FUN!!! Now it seems that either people are jealous, money hungry, or just plane PRICKS, all because of problems that can be solved in ways as to not affect the jumpers. I have lost very close friends who have given up the sport all together because of DZ DRAMA. Its everywhere and we need to at least minimize it so it doesnt affect everyone. Wingnut I echo AGGIE DAVE's sentiments. There is enough bullshit on the job and in our personal lives, we shouldnt have to come to the DZ to add to it. zulu

Angela, These jumpers had less than 50 jumps and most of them are heavier than me by at least 30lbs. I just wouldnt feel right selling them the rig. zulu

I would have to say yes. My reason is in my situation I have just put my complete system up for sale. Its a sabre 150 with an H-modification. I have had jumpers with less than 50 jumps with cash in hand begging me to sell them my rig. Money isnt everything. I told them that I would not feel comfortable because of their experience level. I would feel like the lowest piece of shit if I was to one day read about them in parachutist, just because I wanted to make a buck. I would rather go to jail before I set someone up for this type of failure. zulu
