Thats what I was thinking also. Although they say that bungy should be set up to inflate in the 60mph range, I have not actually tested it at anything less than terminal. I will see if I can get it swapped out before spreading my wings. One less thing to think about... thanks guys! Shawn _________________

Hi All, I may have an opportunity to get introduced to wing suits this weekend. I have reservations about my bungy pilot chute however (yes, I know, but I have never had a need to change it formation skydiving!). So, is this something that must go for birdman suits? Thanks! _________________

Hi Michele, Just FYI, paragliders are soaring parachutes, a "folding hang glider" in a sense. As far as explosives, paragliders and hang gliders sometimes use a ballistic reserve parachute mounted on the harness that uses a solid fuel rocket for deployment. One of the reasons these have fallen out of favor is it makes it impossible to fly with your harness on vacation! Have a great trip! _________________

Absolutely. I took a ten year break from skydiving to fly paragliders and hang gliders. Now I freefall and soar! Its an indescribable feeling to thermal up over 10,000' on a column of warm air, fly a hundred miles cross country, and in that process I have circled with bald eagles, peregrine falcons, vultures, inumerable hawks, you name it. Keep up the skydiving, but if you find yourself looking for more airtime, think about giving soaring flight a try! Shawn _________________
