So, after surgery on Monday, here are my observations, what is your experience? Percocet One kick ass pain killer! After vicodin failed to keep up with the pain curve on the day following, this stuff really did the trick. Definite drowsiness, but not as much of the drugged up fog I experienced with vicodin. Vicodin Fair to good pain relief, but I found it could not keep up with the pain the day after the surgery and all local anesthesia had worn off. Much more of a "high" than percocet, perhaps not as good at pain relief, but you may not care as much! _________________

Only thing I can think of is perhaps making sure the VCR tuner is set up for antenna reception and not cable? Probably not since you say all other channels are good, but just a thought... Otherwise, a foil hat, grab the antenna cable, a little to the left, raise your right arm... there. Don't move!

Depends on the type of terrain you will be riding on and the equipment the competion will be using. Hard tails have an advantage on climbing due to less energy loss, (some power absorbed by the rear shock) and weight. You can get full suspension with lockouts that will minimize this, but again, you are adding weight. (And cost!) I would see what the competition is using, and decide accordingly. I love my full suspension (especially the knees!) but I am strictly x-country doing technical single track. _________________

Not so painful right now, but the longer I wait, the worse its gonna get, and I have met the deductible for my insurance already for this year. If I wait until after the new year I start from scratch again... so its really best from a physical and fiscal point of view to get it over with. _________________

Well, my doc informs me that I need to go in for bunion surgery on my right foot to solve some issues that it is causing. He says two weeks off my feet, six weeks before I am walking normally. The soonest they can schedule is mid November, and I want to be able to land on it for the Eloy Boogie at the end of the year. Anybody had to have this done? What kind of recovery period did you have? Really appreciate any info out there... damn, this sucks. _________________
