as always, any insight would be greatly appreciated. cool sit fly dive, seperated at 4k , threw out at 3k and under canopy by about 2400'.i colapse the slider and flare. one guy under me and i'm watching to see the wind sock and what way the guy below me is landing. i decide on my landing pattern by about 1800' and do a quick 180 left turn to enter the landing pattern where i want to. i'm jumping a sabre 2 170 and i am about 180lbs. the 180 turn puts me in a line twist wrapped around 2 times. the canopy is flying real straight and i'm not losing altitude unussually fast. i kick out by about 1200', check the canopy, the left side closest to me is folded over and a flare opens up the corner. my turns at this point feel funny. i don't feel the usual resistance i feel when pulling the steering lines. it kind of feels like i'm floating more than usual. land fine. my 2 big questions are 1) if i couldn't kick out the twist at the hieght i was at, should i have cut away or went straight to the reserve. 2) what could have caused the line twist. i know it was the turn ( i think), but i've done a whole lot mor radical turns up higher with the same canopy and never had that happen. is there any kind of weather condition that could cause that. there was almost no wind and it was a perfect clear day , about 70 degrees at 5:00 or so and the north east weather was getting cooler to about 55 degrees by night fall. thanks in advance for any insight. _________________________________________ people see me as a challenge to their balance

in most corporate charters there is a stated porpuse to maximise profits of the corp in any legal way ( i am amember of a few and that was in mine/ours). the corp is responsible to the share holders. i am not really a fan of charity , i think the best thing to help people is to build a strong company that employees have a stack in ( shares of the company like whole foods does and peoles express airlines did). do to failings in public education, a corp. may find investing in the education of it's employees as the best way to maximise profits there is another side of this, and that is the responsibility of the end user or consumer. in a free market society ( the only way in my opinion) , the consumer decides where to spend his money. so anyone can decide what companies succeed and fail by their spending habits. _________________________________________ people see me as a challenge to their balance

cool question that i've wondered about, asked about, and had to deal with on a few ocasions. suffice to say that that the taught plf might be the safest way for someone who hasn't had training in martial arts roll outs and slaps and what not. i would love to some how do some brainstorming and practice on some different techniques for plf's. i wonder what would be the best way to do that. maybe some kind of a swinging harness over mats? on the few jumps i needed a roll out on i don't know exactly what i did, just instict took over. i know my instinct is to land with my feet apart and bent and then roll over to my right side and roll out until i am slow enough to slap out. i guess the slap out takes the energy to the arm and hand instead of the nech and head? bottom line is no one is responsible for me surviving but me so i'll do what i feel will keep me alive first and injury free second. _________________________________________ people see me as a challenge to their balance

The relevance is that people are being punished...Maybe not to the standards some want, but very few who are bitching understand the environment. You cannot compare a punsihment for someone killing someone by accident or negligance in a war zone to the same crime done in NY, London, or Berlin. Is it wrong? Yes.
